@questions117 The lead singer, the one who sings the melody most of the time, in this case Andi, usually starts a song, since most songs start off on a few notes of the melody. The other 3 always look completely happy having Andi start most songs. Love you girls.

simply amazing. the high note in "free" is SPECTACULAR. the only (VERY mild) criticism i could possibly give is in one or two of the dipthings (ae and oe) it was every so slightly nasaly, and very occasionally it was scoopy at the start of a phrase. but still, SPECTACULAR. simply the BEST PERFORMANCE i've ever heard. LOVE it.

Unfortunately, the Super Bowl is all about big names that have been around since forever. Most of the acts have been performing since before any of these girls were born. By the time they're well-enough established to get the gig, they'll probably be in their twenties.
I agree. Andi gets the most attention since she gets most of the leads, Madeline nails the high notes, and Blaire gets to do countermelodies, but Baylee's alto harmony is the base (bass? heh) on which the chords are built.
When they did the Battle Hymn at the Telethon, they had her mic turned down if not off, and it just didn't sound right without her.

These girls are so good i cant belive it. If you haven't watched thier video singing Amazing Grace you should it made me cry. My granny used to sing it to me all the time when i was little but the way these girls sing it will make you cry. There are so gifted. Love them to death!!!
They don't need America's Got Talent. They're already famous in the Four Corners and their future in singing is almost guaranteed! These kids are awesome and dedicated...I want to meet them someday.

That song's hard enough to sing as a solo when you're an adult, and the fact that they can do it in a 4 part harmony at ages 14, 11, 11, and 9 is nothing short of incredible! any 4 part written harmony is extremely difficult thing to score, let alone sing in perfect pitch. They are amazing at what they do, you just don't know good music.
Boo on the sound man. A little reverb would have made this sound more like their arena performances. Not to complain, but pro sound people are supposed to pick up on stuff like that.
Ok, I've never really notice when groups harmonize. Most of the time, when people listen to songs, they mainly hear the lead singer, in this case it'd be Andi. But in almost all of their songs, I'm always so drawn to Baylee's part. I can't imagine how imcomplete this would sound without her! Lots of people say "the girl on the left is too quiet" and stuff like that, but if you really listen well once, you'll never miss her again. Baylee's low harmony just completes every song the Cuties sing. =]

I am pretty sure this was performed on a television sound stage, which most likely is not condusive to catch audience noises. The crowd is probably not all that large either I should think. Whatever, they are wonderful!! Hope they do this again!!
It was the Ballroom at the Southpoint...the audience was about 500-600...it was full...I was just offstage....they were magnificent...the rehearsal was just as good....
I am sorry to report that Baylee's Mom, Nan Barrett passed away this morning. I know that all your prayers gave great comfort to Nan, Baylee, Brooks and Danny.
The unfortunate side of watching a video on YT is you can't always get sense of what is really happening .According to their coach and manager who was there, the girls were told to hold their positions until the applause died down. They stood there a very long time.

I've been around acapella (barbershop) harmony music my entire life, and these young ladies could some day rank right up there with some of the world champion quartets I've had the honor to meet and sing with. I agree with you Sr. MSgt. I served 10 1/2 years USAF in Security from 82 to 92. Like you, I've heard many rendentions of our National Anthem and even had to sing it accapella once myself at a leadership school banquet, However, these young ladies sing it with heart, with passion, and emotion. I can only imagine these are the same feelings that many of our brethern, family members, and forefathers felt while fighting for and dying defending this country and for the rights of others abroad.

I agree, this is the best version I've ever heard. I've never felt the desire to hear the anthem daily until these girls sang it. I feel like now I need to wake up in the morning with this song.
This is one of those songs done so perfectly by these young girls that I can actually feel my Patriotic bones tingling when they sing. It makes me feel like there's nothing we can't overcome in this country (even our Socialist President).

I'm a huge Cactus Cutie fan! 1# I love how Andi starts it then Baylee joins in then Blaire then Madeline. They do it over and over and it sounds just amazing. I like at the end they sing brave good!

I am pretty sure this was performed on a television sound stage, which most likely is not condusive to catch audience noises. The crowd is probably not all that large either I should think. Whatever, they are wonderful!! Hope they do this again!!

It was the Ballroom at the Southpoint...the audience was about 500-600...it was full...I was just offstage....they were magnificent...the rehearsal was just as good....

The unfortunate side of watching a video on YT is you can't always get sense of what is really happening .According to their coach and manager who was there, the girls were told to hold their positions until the applause died down. They stood there a very long time.

I've been around acapella (barbershop) harmony music my entire life, and these young ladies could some day rank right up there with some of the world champion quartets I've had the honor to meet and sing with. They really hold to the arrangement and capture the notes together. Well coached and great execution ladies! Keep ringing those chords!!

I agree with you Sr. MSgt. I served 10 1/2 years USAF in Security from 82 to 92. Like you, I've heard many rendentions of our National Anthem and even had to sing it accapella once myself at a leadership school banquet, However, these young ladies sing it with heart, with passion, and emotion. I can only imagine these are the same feelings that many of our brethern, family members, and forefathers felt while fighting for and dying defending this country and for the rights of others abroad.

I want you to know about the Cactus Cuties in an online magazine called 'Serious.Life'. The Cuties are featured on the cover of the March issue with a cool picture.

I cry every time I hear those beautiful girls sing our National Anthem.
My only son is in the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers and recently returned from his year in Afghanistan.
He had some harrowing experiences, but he is home safe and in one piece.
Thank you, girls, for honoring him, and all of us.
