I feel so bad for Isaac, after all the shit and nightmares he went through, some government bitch tells him Nicole's gone and he's insane. I wanted to fucking end her, but the Hive Mind beat me to it.
The virus was a result of a man-made version of an alien marker destroyed. It was purposely created to influence suicide and create Necromorphs, rather than hold it back. In the second game Isaac sees Nicole, but is capable of differentiating between her and the real Nicole seemingly easy. He even says confidently,"You can't fool me like you did Stross. You're not Nicole. Nicole is dead."Stross is also affected like Isaac yet far more traumatized and needs Isaac to keep him sane.
@TheGostofSparta Virus is a retro virus that is alien maded. And it responded to the Dead human flesh. Initally the virus used dust(most of it is human skin) and Human strain of the Nercomorph was born. And Virus has a different relationship with each marker. For Example, The Red Marker wanted to be on the pedestal to hold back the virus. Where as Titan Marker helps influence the spread of the virus.
As for the Original Black Marker has a virus but I don't know the relationship with the virus.
It seems, though, that the markers are sentient as well.
While the one in Dead Space 2 was malevolent. It wanted all of the events to happen. Same with the Black Marker on Earth.
The Red Marker, however, seemed benevolent. it wanted to stop the Hivemind. It can be argued that when Nicole said "I never meant to hurt you." through Isaacs hellucination (sp?) was actually the Red Marker talking through it. If the Hivemind was hindered, the Necromorphs would have died off.

He even thought he saw her and even talked to her because the disease that makes the necromorphs also causes dimensia and schitsophrenia. In other words, he imagined her. He even thinks she attacks him at the end in necromorph form. In the secone game she haunts Isaac's mind because he just can't get her out of his head.

It's everything that happened in Dead Space. I mean after all, what he went through must've been horrifying then finding out it was all for nothing!? He's basically going nuts throughout the whole game. I think that Dead Space 2 can only have two outcomes. Issac will die (hopefully) or Issac will lose his mind (PLEASE NO!)

@thebrdrptrl No I don't have any sort of technology like that. All of the angles were already in trailers and teasers before the game's release. I wish I could do that though, it would be awesome!
This video is amazing. I love how you put everything together so nicely. It's also the perfect explaination on how brave Issac is. He's literally risking his life for his girl friend. He goes through the worst thing that the most twisted mind couldn't even dream up. No matter how you look at it, he's possibly the most bad ass hero ever created by man
At first when the song was playing with the compilation of necromorph attacks I was like, "What the hell? This doesn't go together at all!" Then I realized... The meaning of the song and the gory, unforgetfull decapitation of a horde of necro-morphs are so.. opposite, that they actually go together PERFECTLY! I mean... It's the ultimate contradictory music video... Yet amazing! LOVE IT! FIVE STARS!

Damn, i cried a lil bit when Isaac finally found out Nicole's actually dead, when that Kendra bitch told him about it. And then Isaac covered his face/mask/helmet with his hand, signaling he's grieving/crying.
I mean, he misses his girlfriend to death, and i know how that feels. And then going onto a spaceship, risking his life to just find his girl. And to only find out in the end, after all the nightmares he went through, that his one and only, is DEAD. Right from the start.
this game is epic but it wasnt very sad =( infact they didn't show any real emotion or insights into their relationship, so I wouldn't consider this a huge part of the epicness that is deadspace, hopefully more character devlopment in DS 2 =)

A way to know in game that somethings are a hallucination is when alien symbols appear. They happen in the flight control roomat level 11 when you can be near nicole, and at the end then.
Like i said. she's a hallucination. He found out she's dead and now hallucinates her as a dead person, like a zombie walking around. He couldn't see her as a necromorph.
Nicole I think died at the end because of the monster but I saw that isaac took off his helmet and then looked left and their a dead nicole screamed at him
Well my friend said that Nicole turned into a necromorph, but i guess there r 2 endings one were he goes in to space and leaves and one were he goes to a compter and she goes behind him and kills him and she is a necromorph. So yea you were right Nicole killing him
there's just the one ending. the computer you're thinking of is in the shuttle he escapes on. plus the developers have already confirmed that isaac is in the next game, so nicole at the end was most likely a hallucination caused by PTSD
Well, the next game is a prequal that takes place just before Isaac's arrival. So, even though EA announced he will make an appearence, he's not a playable character. Also this means that the next game in no way tells what happens at the end of Dead Space : (
dead space isn't what I meant by "the next game" I was referring to dead space 2. And the developers have said Isaac is the protaganist of the sequal to dead space. Hopefully he will make it to the third installment
@TheGostofSparta extraction was the prequal, in an interview i saw with a developer who was talking about dead space 2, it said it took place 3 years later then dead space: dismemberment took place, from what ive heard.
dead space extraction is not dead space 2. it is a prequeal, not a sequel. The devs said you will be isaac in the SEQUEL of dead space, as in, the game that comes after dead space. so nicole was just a hallucination.
Nicole is not a hallucination, she was real but she killed herself, in game she is a hallucination due to the Marker. She was Isaac's Girlfriend/Wife.
im pretty sure everyone knows that... everyone that played the game that is. The nicole in the end of the game however, which is the one i was refering to, is a hallucination most likely caused by post traumatic stress syndrome

Well, the pod that Kenya told the commander not to open only infected the military ship that crashed into the Ishimaura. That's why the ship just happened to crash afterwards. Anyways, the next Dead Space is a prequal which takes place on the wii. I still hope they make a sequal though and I have some cool story ideas of my own. I look foward to both of them!

They are making a Dead Space 2! It's called Dead Space Extraction, and it's on the wii. The developers say that now u'll be able shoot while zero-G jumping! The song is "Addicted" by Saving Abel.
Actually, Dead Space on the wii opens more opportunities, since it's a first person shooter. The developers say that now you'll be able to shoot while Zero-G jumping! Well, the new Dead Space coming out is a prequal and takes place on the wii. You play the game as multiple characters, switching between them as the game progresses.
Considering that the marker created necromorphs, the marker would also have the ability to provide vaccines or a cure for Nicole's transformation. But that's just my imagination.
If Isaac is indeed under attack at 5:12, I highly doubt he is in mortal danger. He is still armed, still wearing an (assumed) upgraded armor suit, and has at least one hand free. It is highly doubtful that thing could kill him under those circumstances.
If you want my opinion, I think Nicole should be real. However, when she grabs him, he falls on an emergency ejection button. Sucking out him and Nicole, only Isaac survives by putting his suit in a lock-down kinda "sleep" mode where he lands on an unoccupied ship...Overrun by Necromorphs!!!
I think issac will return 2 earth to find it overun by necromorphs, but finds isolated survivors; his father among them. He will then lead them to find an artifact similar to the marker, him know ing how to kill the necromorphs. Either way, great music vid!

there's just the one ending. the computer you're thinking of is in the shuttle he escapes on. plus the developers have already confirmed that isaac is in the next game, so nicole at the end was most likely a hallucination caused by PTSD

Well, the next game is a prequal that takes place just before Isaac's arrival. So, even though EA announced he will make an appearence, he's not a playable character. Also this means that the next game in no way tells what happens at the end of Dead Space : (

dead space isn't what I meant by "the next game" I was referring to dead space 2. And the developers have said Isaac is the protaganist of the sequal to dead space. Hopefully he will make it to the third installment

@TheGostofSparta extraction was the prequal, in an interview i saw with a developer who was talking about dead space 2, it said it took place 3 years later then dead space: dismemberment took place, from what ive heard.

dead space extraction is not dead space 2. it is a prequeal, not a sequel. The devs said you will be isaac in the SEQUEL of dead space, as in, the game that comes after dead space. so nicole was just a hallucination.

Nicole is not a hallucination, she was real but she killed herself, in game she is a hallucination due to the Marker. She was Isaac's Girlfriend/Wife.

im pretty sure everyone knows that... everyone that played the game that is. The nicole in the end of the game however, which is the one i was refering to, is a hallucination most likely caused by post traumatic stress syndrome

best game ever on the 360 :D the first game in ages i played and did not get board of a week later :)..and yeh if isaac imagined nicole being there, at the end where she attacks him that could be his imagination aswell who knows! but they are deffinetely making a sequel, to much of a good game to drop

i recon they will end up making a a deadspace 2 because during the game at one point , an escape pod was sent out back to eart , i think?, and then the chick was aboput to lose connection and was trying to tell the officer dude not to open the pod because there is something crawling round in there.. and i recon that isaac killed nicole =)

Well, the pod that Kenya told the commander not to open only infected the military ship that crashed into the Ishimaura. That's why the ship just happened to crash afterwards. Anyways, the next Dead Space is a prequal which takes place on the wii. I still hope they make a sequal though and I have some cool story ideas of my own. I look foward to both of them!

Actually, Dead Space on the wii opens more opportunities, since it's a first person shooter. The developers say that now you'll be able to shoot while Zero-G jumping! I am curious as to how their going to make the scary death scenes now that you can't see your body...unless your head's on the floor looking up at it.

Considering that the marker created necromorphs, the marker would also have the ability to provide vaccines or a cure for Nicole's transformation. But that's just my imagination.

If Isaac is indeed under attack at 5:12, I highly doubt he is in mortal danger. He is still armed, still wearing an (assumed) upgraded armor suit, and has at least one hand free. It is highly doubtful that thing could kill him under those circumstances.

If you want my opinion, I think Nicole should be real. However, when she grabs him, he falls on an emergency ejection button. Sucking out him and Nicole, only Isaac survives by putting his suit in a lock-down kinda "sleep" mode where he lands on an unoccupied ship...Overrun by Necromorphs!!!

I think issac will return 2 earth to find it overun by necromorphs, but finds isolated survivors; his father among them. He will then lead them to find an artifact similar to the marker, him know ing how to kill the necromorphs. Either way, great music vid!
