  • The Trinity Killer xD

  • one of the best ever

  • One Brian de Plama's best films.

  • Depalma does not make more movies/??

  • this starts off as a good movie and gets progressively stupider as it goes on until by the end its full on ridiculous and has nothing to do with the film it started out as. Still worth a watch tho

  • Très beau trailer, j'adore.

  • I'm seeing a little bit of hate for this movie on here and I don't know why. A lot of people are saying that De Palma just rips off Hitchcock. While that is VERY true, that doesn't mean that De Palma's films aren't good. I have 49 Alfred Hitchcock movies on dvd and 18 Brian De Palma movies on dvd. I've seen almost every Hitchcock film outside of what I own and I've seen every De Palma film except for 2. De Palma is influenced by Hitch but that doesn't mean he isn't good. De Palma is very good.

  • I just saw this movie, expected it to be a rubbish hollywood take on Blow-up ( which iv recently seen and thought was great). I watched it because tarantino said it was in his top 3 movies and I actually thought it was amazing, the camera work was awesome and the 2 main leads really had some chemistry. Dont think a movie has ever overturned my expectations like this, highly recommended.

  • Nancy Allen shouldn't have left from De Palma.

Only De Palma knew how Nacy could be most attractive as an actress.

  • @ShowatoHeisei robocop fucked her

  • Movie was good, but the trailer makes it seem more suspensful and faster paced than it actually is

  • Easily Travolta's finest performance, and best film he's ever been in.

  • 'Now you hear it...now you don't.'

Man, now this is my kind of suspense thriller here. definitely Hitchcockian. I like trailers like this, especially where they take natural elements and make things seem dangerous. This reminds me of the trailers 'Blink' and 'Hear no Evil'...like Blow Out, those trailers will definitely send shivers up your spine.

  • this is the only John Travolta film i like

  • @KryptoniteTearDrop

    have u seen pulp fiction?

  • @DarkAntiU94 yep

  • dopo carrie de palma riuni' di nuovo la coppia allen -travolta in questo thriller cupo e claustrofobico

  • This movie sucked! It was boring as hell and it was just De Palma stealing from Hitchcock...AGAIN.

  • @QuatermassMan mostly it is the audio version of the visual blow UP.

  • @johnrunion I just couldn't believe how boring it was. I hate to use that word on a film, but it was just that: Boring. Lithgow is the only reason to watch.

  • @QuatermassMan i have never seen it, but yeah i have heard that it was boring often. thanks for the reply. depalma is just a hack. he is all flash and no substance. as you stated often he just rips on hitch.

  • This looks really good, can't believe i've never heard of it before?

  • You haven't? Quentin Tarantino lists "Blowout" as one of his three favorite movies of all time, and was a huge influence on him as a filmmaker.

  • Yeah, it's the reason he wanted to cast Travolta in Pulp Fiction. It looks like a good film, I will have to keep an eye out for it...

  • Well, originally Tarantino was going to cast Michael Madsen as Vincent Vega in "Pulp Fiction" since he was supposed to be the brother of Vic Vega(Mr. Blonde) from" Reservoir Dogs," but Madsen turned it down, so Tarantino cast Travolta. Still, "Blowout" is a great fim. You should check it out!

  • Yeah, apparently he tries to link every character he's made somehow. Thanks for the cool comments.

  • A MUST see. Honestly - don't watch any other movie until you hunt it down on DVD and watch it.

    Absolutely essential viewing.

  • haha, I'll have a look for it, thanks

  • Great movie. Along w. Pulp Fiction, my favorite Travolta film. I admit i'm a little biased since it was filmed in my hometown :)

  • @ebbowman yeah if you read into why Tarantino casted Travolta, it was because he liked the way he played in Blow Out so he just had to cast him in Pulp Fiction and it was a win/win situation.

  • This is one of Quentin Tarantino's favorite films.

Along with Rio Bravo and Taxi Driver...

  • i saw that wiki page to. I love Tarantion and travolta so much this movie had the worst ending in the history of sad endings MY GOD!

  • This is one of Travolta's best films and most people haven't seen it.

  • Does anyone know the name of the composer of the score in this trailer (or the name of the score itself)?

  • The composer's name is:

    Pino Donaggio !

  • What a nice way to memorialize your girl: use her recorded death scream as a sound effect in a porn flick. Thanks for enriching the world with this movie, Mr. DePalma.

  • this and 'Phantom of the paradise" are the best De Palma films.

  • John Travolta is amazing and majestic!

  • "Murder has a sound...

    all of it's own!"

1980s cinema dosen't get much better than this.

    A masterpiece.

  • a very impressive performance by john

travolta in blow out ,and maybe undervalued as well.

  • one of the best De Palma's movies

i think this is the movie where John played very very well...

  • where is this available on dvd? I didn't see it at best buy, walmart or target

  • Check out the Hitchcock/Antonioni ripoff imitators bin near the garbage can at your local video store.

  • This has to be one of my favorite John Travolta movies. I know I like every one of his movies, but this one is really really good. It doesn't get enough credit.

  • One of the best trailers I have ever seen, period!

  • no...

  • murder has a sound...

    all of it's own...

  • en España se llamo Impacto

  • the greatest travolta movie, this film never gets enough credit

  • Brilliant film w/ one of the greatest endings.

  • Great underrated Travolta vehicle.

  • I studied this for media studies at school

  • john lithgow is a great bad guy in this

  • The Game's favorite movie

  • i cant fucking find this movie anywhere, pisses me off

  • they have been showing it on Encore and Starz quite a lot.

  • dont' watch it online or on TV. it will be fullscreen. buy the DVD, that has the best quality widescreen

  • it's on dvd i have it

  • you do!!!

u need to put it up on youtube!!!!

  • I am not sure how to do that, but the dvd is only about $9

  • I saw this film when it first came out back in late '81 or early '82. All I can say is that "Blow Out" was terrific and I loved every minute of it. Travolta was great, the script was tops, and the dramatic pace was perfect. Highly, highly recommended.

  • Actually, saying that this is one of his best is underrating him! Almost all of his movies are so great, and he has clearly created his own style in film making!

  • De PAlma is the BEst !!

  • @Tony2eb hell yes, i agree

  • great movie shamefully underrated

  • I want to see this

  • i havent seen it

  • This deserves a re release or at least a 2 disc dvd special edition-beautiful filmmaking

  • LOve this film - One of his best.
