@koalajones88 Oasis was the greatest band in the 90´s bc of 2 simple facts: Noel´s genius caught the Zetigeist (the spirit of the times) and put it down in his songs. That´s why lots of young people were able to be in the same wave to the band. Oasis was the people, Oasis knew how young people felt at the time. By contrast, Blur never cared about, they were just a bunch of rich kids playing their toys, weren´t they? 2nd point, Live forever or wonderwall, classics!!! hymns of a generation.

Great Blur!!!, one of my favourite bands with Nirvana, Silverchair, Hell Is For Heroes and some more...

I love the amp/guitar sound. Graham maybe isn´t a virtuosity of the guitar but is very very original and he can make it sound very strong and full of personality.

I thought Noel Gallagher said his band were the best band in the world? He was so full of himself and fucked full of coke his ego went beyond hi actual really basic limits. As musch as I like Noel, it's now common knowledge that Blur are so much better and from 97 onwards and when Coxon started having more of a influence with his lo-fi guitar style, they were the undisputed best band. As Damon always said, they became better when thay were hated after the Great Escape.

Both great bands, but I think Graham Coxon was the defining line beteween the two groups and I know I shouldn't really compare. It would be good though if we could get both Noel and Graham to have a debate about Simon Cowell and todays nusic industry. That would be good. I would like to hear Noels comments on that one.
