For those interested, please don't take my word on anything. Google for "Clear Climate Code". You can obtain the source code and the raw data, for free. Plot the data yourself. Choose your favored subset of monitoring stations. You can plot them by region, plot different randomly chosen stations, plot only urban stations, plot only rural stations. See what you get. Here's a hint. If you plot a statistically significant number of stations, you'll see the same amount and rate of warming.

The problem with the climate stations is that many are located in places that are built out like parking lots, etc which is inherently hotter than a park, which gives misleading information.

@Twilightifyable No, there is no such problem. As I just pointed out, you can get the station data and you can plot it yourself. You can remove stations you think don't provide good data. The scientists already rank the stations on data quality, if you disagree, remove the stations you don't think are valid. A denialist website identifies a couple hundred stations they felt gave bad data. They don't show the re-plot without those stations because it shows the same amount and rate of warming.

I have little desire to double check John R. Christy's work.  I will point out that if his work was bad or based on bad data the Illuminati would have had him discredited long ago to support their outlandish global warming alarmism. I pointed out that Christy made an error and admits it. You change the topic to weather stations. I address the weather station issue and now you want to change the subject to taxation and politics. I just read about it. He acknowledges that there must be some impact anthroponically speaking of climate change on the earth, but it's inconceivable to make predictions 100 years out. He stated that "plants love what we do with carbon". I believe John Christy is a true scientist so he won't neglect his findings he made with weather balloon and satellite data. The question to ask the anti-science types: What evidence or data would convince you that human caused GHG emissions are a significant driving force in current climate change? You will get one of two answers: None, in which case further discussion is a waste of time. The other answer will be silence or "I don't know", meaning they haven't a clue what valid evidence would look like. That makes their claims to be able to spot "invalid" evidence fairly ridiculous.

He found from this information gathered from the bulk of the atmosphere that climate change was neither catastrophic nor anthropogenic. Read his 2006 paper, he says: "Previously reported discrepancies between the amount of warming near the surface and higher in the atmosphere have been used to challenge the reliability of climate models and the reality of human-induced global warming... because of global warming the climate is geting colder for example: north atlantic drift to take a moresoutherly course than at present. if this happens it is likely that norway ice-fre prts would freez in winter.in  inreland onshore winds bloing off colder seas coud result in lower temperatures and wetter winters

@patioperson Years ago the estimates of 2,000 to 4,000ppm increase were found to be in error and the actual values were more likely around +250ppm. The year was 2001 to be exact. Maybe you want to google the current science and learn that rather than take cherry picked quotes from sensationalist media websites at face value. Volcanoes emit around 0.3 billion tons of CO2 per year. This is about 1% of human CO2 emissions which is around 29 billion tons per year.

Well, since 1975 the EPA has been tightening standards on emmisions and in 1994 Catalyst Converters that turn Carbon Monoxide into Carbon Dioxide

I am a scientist and I disagree with the conclusions of this video. Anecdotal evidence from Inuits is not evidence of climate change. The Arctic was never cooler during the last 4-5 centuries preceding this one and yes it has gotten warmer in Northern Latitudes. It is a huge stretch to claim as this video does that there are tipping points in climate. Thoes statements are not based on rigorous scientific work and contrary to assumptions they make regarding paleo climatic conditions.

A state climatologist in Washington (or maybe Oregon) was fired after expressing his views on climate change. There's a lot more skeptics out there than people think including prestigious meteorologists like Dr. Gray at Colorado State and Joe Bastardi at accuweather.

Yes CO2 levels is around 380 ppm now but it used to be around 280 before we started burning fossil fuels in enormous amounts every day. CO2 is a very powerful greenhouse gas. What do you think our temperature would be without greenhouse gases? It would be 33C (59F) lower than it is now. What do you think happens when we increase the CO2 level with 35%?
