And the look onthe faces of those reading the letter, wow, they must have felt at that moment what it would've been like because the emotion was there. I see it has been almost 4 years. This song jumped out at me because my mom loved to write letters and it's a song that imagines a loved one could write a letter from heaven. There are other cool songs about people we miss ("Homesick" by MercyMe, "Save a Place for Me" by Matthew West, etc.). But it might be better to find a song that reminds you of her, whether it talks about Heaven or not. :)

I've been looking for this. My wife of 29 years went home july 21,09. Pancreatic cancer. diagnosed on july 1st. 20 days to try and save her. Way too late.
Went to the gravesite one day and upon leaving this song came on. Of course it broke me down (even more) but it was comforting too. Cool how the Lord can find the simplest of ways to talk to you. Also good to know EXACTLY where she is without question. Now I just got to pull my life together so I can get there too.

Maybe there's something you can do to honor your mom. It doesn't have to be a video - it could be a scrapbook, or a poem, or a letter you would write to her. I can tell you that finding something to do really helps to heal the hurt.
But it also takes time to heal. Don't rush it. Cry when you feel sad. Laugh when you remember something funny she said.

Thank you so much for putting up this video. It brings up so many memories of my mother who died last Thursday (Sep. 23) and you've inspired me to make my own memorium video for her. She had always told us that she wanted us to play this song at her funeral because it says the very message that I'm sure she's saying right now. I've been looking for this. My wife of 29 years went home july 21,09. Pancreatic cancer. diagnosed on july 1st. 20 days to try and save her. Way too late.
Went to the gravesite one day and upon leaving this song came on. Of course it broke me down (even more) but it was comforting too. Cool how the Lord can find the simplest of ways to talk to you. Also good to know EXACTLY where she is without question. Now I just got to pull my life together so I can get there too.

Just keep on going on, day by day, one step at a time. You'll get there! When you feel sad, go ahead and grieve. It's been 3 1/2 years since my Mom died, and I cried again tonight. I love music so much but even the joy of music seems to have disappeared from me and I barely can sing any more. I'm so sorry for your loss. I know what you're going through. For me, this video was a way to honor her and remember the good times we shared.
Maybe there's something you can do to honor your mom. It doesn't have to be a video - it could be a scrapbook, or a poem, or a letter you would write to her. I can tell you that finding something to do really helps to heal the hurt.
But it also takes time to heal. Don't rush it. Cry when you feel sad. Laugh when you remember something funny she said.

My mom hasnt died, but my best maytes mom died while we were in iraq, he got the letter and 3 days later was flown home, we both still fight in her memory, 3 years on. We're what you'd call "brothers in arms"
