To all indians who are always fighting about who is the best singer in India. Let me tell you something. In the beginning, when i was a kid in France, we were poor like all people at that time cause the atrocities of 2nd world war. Some of hindi movies was projected to the wall by night. Despite the fact that we dont understand hindi but the voices of Rafi Sahab and Lata Ji was a part of heaven.I know all indian singers. But Rafi/lata are or ever India. The two pushed me to learn Hindi.

I like to point out that KK was perhaps the most inonnovative singer we ever had. Very few can match his versatality ranging from Nqriwali from new delhi to chhingaari koi in amar prem. It pains to see that someone just throws such demeanings comments on artists of his calibre. I am not a fan of KK, I like Mukesh's sentimental style and Manna Dety's classical genre, but that does not give me the arrogant right to brand KK as a street singer.

Trusting his voice to overcome all the highs and lows of the song. The higher the pitch, the more he toyed with the words. I think that this song was taylor made more for Rafi than Lata. She did struggle on a few lines due to the high pitch, but I don't think that there is any other female singer who could have done better.
