I hope there is more to the academy than watching Stochelo play and guessing what he's doing. Octaves mystify me, and he didn't really show how to play them in this sample video. Will there be a forum where we can ask detailed questions?
Not at all meant to be an insult, but for a player with some experience in the style, this was demonstrated well at a few speeds. If octaves are a mystery, study up on them.
This style of music is tough, and certain elements and skills are pre-reqs.
