I have been looking for this video forever. I used to fall asleep while listening to it on TV when I was a teenager. It was like a lullaby.

I've been telling people about this sign off recently! It was the greatest. I grew up in Phenix City, Alabama on the Georgia line. I'm a rather sentimental person, and this sign off always gave me chills. What a beautiful video montage of the best of Georgia. Wish the soundtrack were here.

GPTV always signed off with Ray Charles "Georgia On My Mind. The entire song to video. And the network played their entire old sign off video from the days when all 9 stations would sign off around 1am.

GPB (as it is now called) now runs 24 hours a day/

I think You Tube removed the audio portion. I don't think is a copyright violation, but You Tube is 100% liable to copyright infringements.

Well, my PBS station WEDW-49 Bridgeport/Stamford pulled the switch last night. I have cable so the transition was smooth. The station did air a brief sign-off message. But I am wondering how anyone else in CT w/o cable or w/an old school set did in picking up analog 49/DT-52.

And I assume on GPTV's end Georgia on My Mind was playing.
