Also the background is too dark for you (maybe a lighter background and wearing something lighter would make it look better). Using props/images and showing emotion (even if it's faked) would make it more interesting too.

well you can always click to find the options on your recording program and look for the audio or microphone portion of it, check to see if it is set at maximum, that might solve your problem.
You can also use the volume level in Windows MovieMaker. Would like to hear what you say easier...although just looking at you is rather nice also lol
