Thanks. I guess I got my bag of tricks. In the end it takes a little experience. Actually I required only a single shot to get the board right - sometimes I get lucky ;)
Thanks. I suppose I spent about 5h on the schematic and about 10-15h on the layout (did it manually). It took me another 5h to etch and populate the board.
He wants to make programs that use "cards", and goes to school in mexico. I guess they don't offer programming or tech classes that teach what you do.
BTW, that board is totally full-featured. I'd thought of laying one out myself but I am no good at routing. Do you use eagle?
2 layers makes it so much easier. I don't know how you can stand fabbing boards by yourself. I'd just send them out to be made.
What layout software did you use? I just received my atmega 128 board and am trying to learn all I can at age 62.

Nice board.
Why do you use type A usb jacks for all your projects and not the standard type B ones for slave devices?

Thanks. No specific reason ;)

Hi,
Impressive work! What DAC you're using on the board?
drug123 3 years ago
I'm using an DAC0800, not the best choice obviously, but the only one I had in stock ;)

The PCB quality and the clean layout are impressive, the board looks very professional.
Off topic
I don't know how you can do a 2 layer PCB without mistakes an so precise at home, especially this big board.
I need to do PCBs with a few SSOP parts, but I'd rather have it factory made. Using the photo method i got either many cracked or shorted traces.

Congratulations! It looks complicated. I assume by seeing the schematic that it's a modular design. How much time did you spend on it?

By the way, 128 is great but expensive :( I only have one and it is overkill for what I need.

Really nice board!

Thanks, Odin. Not sure why YT only offers this rotten quality, though :(

i think the quality is good enough if you watch it in hq. btw, wich dac is that? dac0808? and what ic is the one over the atmega and the sram?

I cannot post URLs here... I'll write you a message.

I guess you would need some electronics equipment and some basic knowledge in that area aswell

I don't speak spanish, sorry.
Well it's fun to make something totally yourself. It's a hobby, so no serious stuff attached to it ;)
