  • Yuh know he makes some of the most amusing facial expressions.

  • Ooo @ 2:45 what a twist!

  • Lang Lang plays Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto No 1 and more ???

  • take a look at lang lang's tie

  • ilariorachmaninoff94 thanks for this video but where is the third movement???????

  • Do you have the third movement of Lang Lang in this performance?

  • I completely love this Piano Concerto. It has a mix of so many qualities, just unbelievable. If you would like to listen to another great composer YouTube the Great Great Grandfather in Composition of Peter I. Tchaikovsky:

    Iosif Andriasov

    You will not be disappointed

  • how can he remember all the music sheet?!!!!

  • @dizue it becomes an automatic response thing with enough practice (can be really annoying trying to empty the head of one concerto while learning another though - found myself half way through 1st movement of Rach 1 when I realised I was playing some of Rach 3, thankfully not in a concert!)

  • our LangLang's facial expression...

    still a naughty kid sometimes...

    =P

  • Normally I skip this movement and just go for the exciting 1st and 3rd, but this is a very nice performance!

  • I noticed that the trees growing near the stage are little bit lusher. Maybe they get more music, thus, more healthy than the rest, aye?

  • Beautiful. Tchaikovsky was an amazing composer. What i'd do to learn how to play this on the piano. god though, imagine all the practicing, and even more so, the conditioning to be able to play like that for 15+ minutes??

  • What a Great Performance!

One can obviously see and feel the signature that Simon Rattle and Lang Lang put to this beautiful movement, plus the exquisite virtuosity of the BPO individual musicians.

Many thanks to ilariorachmaninoff94 for sharing it.

  • Where was this?

  • It is at the Waldbuhne which was built for the Olympics.

  • BRAVISSIMI!!!!

  • Very beautiful -- my favorite movement of this concerto. Well done!
