  • what studio do you go 2 robbie?

  • @randieloveballet this studio is california ballet but I have been to 3 others since then

  • I love this.

  • awwwww little baby robbie haha

  • @theAnnafilms ugh I hate these videos LOL

  • I'm just asking...... Someone I know started ballet at age 5, and then took pionte at age 6!!!!! Would that be good or bad for her??

  • @Alina29638 What ? She went on pointe at 6 ?! You're not supposed to go on pointe before you're at least 11-12 !

  • robbie your amazing!!!

    Bestfriends always(:

    since we were babies!

    love always, natalie

  • Well what school does she go to and how many hours a week does she dance

  • @bouncyhopper San Diego Academy of Ballet- but she is attending a new school in a few weeks. School of Russian Ballet. Both are good schools. This video is her old school California Ballet.

  • Robbie has A beautiful 5th as she lands from her pirroutes. I have seen her videos and I got to say. SHE IS A VERY GOOD DANCER.. Keep up the good work. <3

  • Robbie is a wonderful dancer. Her pirroutes are lovely. I have seen other videos of Robbie and her en pointe. She is a LOVELY ballet dancer. Keep up the GORGEOUS work Robbie <3

  • Are those canvas split soles I see?

  • Split soles but not canvas, although that is what she has now ;)

  • she is doing a great job of landing in a nice fifth after every pirouette! that is rare to find in young dancers!

  • i had the same problem with it low and i guess it is good for balancing because when i did it i could do like 4 turns in a row. when she is told to take it higher in class it is usually harder but she'll get used to it. i can now to a double turn from 5th very happy. still working on fouette turns and triple turns!!!! is Robbie learning fouettes yet? if so i'd love to see some!!!!! :)

  • No fouette turns yet... well she may have dabbled with them in jazz and on her own but hopefully soon! She has taught herself the diff between Russian and some other ones so she is def interested in them!

  • pase is supposed to be higher, and spotting should come with practice of sutinious

  • yes I also like the higher passe- but they teach them to keep it low for some reason. Some others have said it s to perfect spotting and balance ;)

  • @mydancetv Yes having a lower passe which is also called coupe is for ballence and spotting. Its one less thing to worry about when just learning pirouettes. Im surprised at age 10 she would just be being introduced to them but every studio is different. At my studio exercizes like this would normally be performed between ages 5-7 but anyways good luck to her. (:

  • Make sure to tell her to keep her tummy strong. I tell little ones to keep there belly button to their spine. That will help her keep her center strong to make it easier to balance.

  • Yes I have seen it taught both ways. Maybe lower is for when your learning. Do you know?

  • It looks like she is doing them in coupe...

  • yah for some reason at her school they tell the younger girls to keep their foot low- but the more advanced girls have them higher. I'm not really sure why. I think I'll ask! ;)

  • some schools like the younger girls to keep thier foot lower, so they can work more on thier spotting and balance,

  • That makes sense. I guess as they get older/better they will move it up. Thanks :)

  • Just make sure when you pirouette to put your foot right below your knee cap! Keep up the work and you'll be great!!
