Hi Peter. What a wonderful breath of fresh air to watch your videos on here! So many times I find vulgarity. swearing, violence etc etc on youtube. It's really lovely to hear your stories - please don't stop! From Jack aged 13 years.
probably my favourite video of yours i've seen thus far. you have a wonderful story-telling manner and i genuinely love your videos and get so excited when i see you've put up a new video. As long as you like to put up videos, I love to watch and listen. I would love to know if you have any grandchildren Peter
Peter very good story some people do not realize how much our animals go through during war time I love all of your stories please keep up the good work I am working on something like this with my grandmother she is 98 years old and it's always good to learn our past
It is the "Telling is all" series that brought your.. if you will, stardom. This is what made the world love you Peter. I loved your watching / listening to your stories. It gave me more appreciation of what it was like for those who lived through those hard times. This was a nice reminder and I still have your first ever video saved in my favourites. I saved it because it was so real and from your heart. I am so happy that you have found the Zimmers and other opportunities, but never forget YOU!
Peter, at that time we lived close by at Gorse Rd., but bearing in mind that I was only 4 when the war ended, I was not aware of these events. My mother told me that when I was still a small baby, a German fighter unexpectedly swooped down machine gunning over Thorpe when she stood by the back door holding me in her arms on a nice summer day. Apparently one of the bullets embedded itself in the door frame, missing my head by just a couple of inches.
@derekcolman Seems that we did live in the same area. Thanks for that comment. I too remember going to school through the town trough the bombed streets and the street being machine gunned. Kinda scary!!
I'm an original sub from way back in 06'. I'm on a different account now, but I still remember when this video was uploaded and I watched it many times. I miss Telling it All.
I very much enjoy your memories, Peter. Oh, and I had to tinker with the "p" settings and turn it off and on again but finally I made your video play all the way through. I've noticed that some vids on YouTube are cranky that way.
well drat.... I get to "mile marker" 59 sec. and it will not go past there. I have done everything that my humble mind can think of. I see that most people had no problems...... hummm I have not given up the ship yet.
He should go HD

Great story! We forget about the stress on animals at wartime; focusing on the people instead. I do enjoy your stories!
