@bigcheesy95 I read it, there are areas of it that talk about war, and within war its clearly has violence, cause war is war, but than if you read on, it says until the fighting stops, and forbids the killing of innocents, like women, children, old people. It has the end of days in it, which reads basically the same as the Christian, one but christians do not have that in the bible, so when Jesus comes back they all seem to agree that anyone not on Jesus's side are supposed to be killed.

My mind is free to say something is wrong sometimes, and even more wrong other times. That something right can be something wrong later on. I'm free to carefully think about things without having to try and compare it to a "perfect" source. If you look at the Islamic history of the religion, the hadith tell us Muslims were drinking, and then it was banned. That fasting was optional, then compulsory. If in a few decades fundamental things change, then surely after 1400 years they should do so.

So what makes Islam a religion of peace? What makes it a religion of violence? Which is more prevelent in THE ACTUAL BOOK. somebody needs to READ the darn thing and find out. so this pointless fighting can stop. Has anyone here actually read the book? its not that long. like a few hundred pages. i had to read a 700 page thing last year. it can be done. so if you really read the book just tell us. does it tell you to be violent or peaceful? then, proove it with evidence from the text. CASE CLOSED

@bigcheesy95 I read it, there are areas of it that talk about war, and within war its clearly has violence, cause war is war, but than if you read on, it says until the fighting stops, and forbids the killing of innocents, like women, children, old people. It has the end of days in it, which reads basically the same as the Christian, one but christians do not have that in the bible, so when Jesus comes back they all seem to agree that anyone not on Jesus's side are supposed to be killed.

@bigcheesy95 But most of the book is about God, and helping people, praying, even with the war ones, you have passages like if you damage one tree needlessly you committed a sin, but it really depends on how your read it.. Kind of like the bible, when christians blow up abortion clinics, or protest outside american soldiers funerals ranting God hates fags. Or its like the KKK, and skin heads who typically tend to be christian, ranting about purity, and hating everyone, its how u read it.

@rizzy456789 How exactly can one misinterpret something they read out as it is found?! The Qu'ran, like all religious texts, is written to be taken exactly as it is found. For, if one believes in the word of God - it is a sin to alter or attempt to justify his words. It is to be taken literally otherwise it is an active criticism of God - which is blasphemy. I'm not religious but I have studied religion.

@TalmudTommy Originally the quran was in arabic. In islam the english isn't even considered a translation, but a interpretation..Even then when you can't just read one Ayah like he did,. When he pointed out the second verse "verse 33" read the whole thing and it and it'll make sense. Just read the ayah RIGHT before it. Google "Surat Al Madiah verse verse 32" It's too long to post.
