I was in the old ballpark at Arlington Texas on that Sunday afternoon in '85 when Ripken hit for the cycle. I was in USAF at Carswell AFB at time and for some reason there were plenty of O's fans in the stadium that weekend. Had a blast, the O's swept three from the Rangers, their pitcher on Friday night took a no-no into the 6th and ended up winning 2-0.  But the real excitement was on that Sunday with Cal's cycle. Special moment for us all.

I wish this happened in 1996 or 1997 because there was a sweepstakes where a viewer would win a million dollars if an Oriole hit for the cycle if on an HTS/WJZ (the predecessor of Comcast SportsNet) game saw this occur.
