  • Man, I could watch paint dry with Malcolm as long as he talked.

Thankfully, I have mastered his voice in the art of impersonation, thus I could seriously watch paint dry all by myself... not that I would, but...

  • Thumbs up if you also would like a squeal, but the main character - Robert Webb - from 'Peep Show'!!!!

  • WELLY WELLY WELLY MY LITTLE DROOGIES!!!

  • i could seriously listen to his voice for hours. he could talk about anything i dont even care

  • great man, hes creepy as fck in evilenko

  • john Henry Eden

  • One of the best interviews I have seen, thank you very much for posting this. My favourite actor indeed, good to see his, something I have shared with others who are not entirely familiar with his work beyond A Clockwork Orange.

  • An amazing and awsome actor ! A wonderful man that plays villians all to well !! Great man !

  • love Malcolm McDowell, even when he's starring in a piece of crap he's still amazing.

  • @Hoppus217 I know man the clockwork orange is my favorite movie but dont you think soemtimes that Malcolm dosent get any younger and till he lives a actuall sequel is posible even if it wasnt half as good as the oryginal i think they shuld do it for the fans

  • Malcolm McDowell's voice is a British version of Morgan Freeman's voice

funny he was the president in fallout 3 and he is British lol

  • Malcolm McDowell's voice is a British version of Morgan Freeman's voice

  • @link01742 YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS YOU ARE SO RIGHT!!!!!!!!!! Sorry, I got excited, but I love his voice so much!

  • McDowell has an incredibly cool voice.

  • eggie wegs, I'd smash em!

  • Malcolm is awsome in Fallout 3 as the Computer president he realy is ;pp

  • seeing him here makes me wanna cry. I totally loved alex, (in fact i'm kind of obssesed) and I wish I was born 40 years ago =(

  • was he on yesman?

  • @ViperFallenAngel no that was the guy who played the villian in Oblivion. I forgot his name though.

  • what ?¿¿?¿? he is 65 years old and he have 3 boys under 5 yeras old !!! GOD !! my grama is 65 !!!

  • One generation knows him as Alex

    Another knows him as Eden

  • His voice hasn't change a bit.

  • It's amazing he haven't ever won an Oscar.. Well I guess his parts were too edgy..

  • I think Malcolm McDowell is one of the most enjoyable actors out there. He can be subdued just as easily as he can be over-the-top at times, and his voice is so rich it makes him a pleasure to watch and listen to.

  • @MamaLuigi4Brawl It is President Eden from fallout 3. He is the voice actor

  • i met him and he is so, so nice. he's really great with his fans....i have his autograph framed on my nightstand...i hope to meet him again. i will always love a clockwork orange...

  • "And I was cured alright!"

  • him and terence stamp should do a movie together

  • Malcolm has been in great films, and in horrid films too, just shows that he's a working actor, just doing his job.

  • And being the f*cking voice actor john Henry Eden in fallout 3 XD

Was so weird to see him in a movie yesterday XD

  • Hello again, this is your president, John Henry Eden, and I was hoping we could talk.

  • Granted, Malcolm has been in some awful films, but there's no denying his talent. He's an amazing actor-and seems like a very pleasant man as well.

  • Such a wonderful actor. He has made some bad film choices, but has been in some fantastic films too. His performance in A Clockwork Orange was nothing short of perfect.

  • I think his choice of strange films is what makes him most fascinating and great. He has an effect on extremely strange or poor movies that makes them very much worthwhile

  • Malcolm is good in his good films, but he has been in a lot of shit films

  • Brilliant! I was there at the Egyptian watching Clockwork Orange and Malcolm talking about it. What a great unpretentious guy. I would seek out every movie he was in when I was a kid after seeing Clockwork. Class Act All the way. I would love to work with him.

  • i just realised that throughout the whole interview he was playing with that wire.

  • holy shit this is President John Henry Eden from fallout 3! holy shit thats awsome this man has an amazing voice

  • Malcolm McDowell is an amazing actor.

  • It would be nice to see a Clockwork Orange II with the veteran Alex de Large, etc.

Was Stanley Kubrick really killed by the CIA ?

  • A Clockwork sequel is a bad idea. The original is a masterpiece from start to finish. There is no way anyone could capture any of the original magic. It's probably why Kubrick never filmed a sequel. And a remake would be blasphemy!

  • I agree. However, chapter 21 ("choice") was excluded from the film. I would like to see an old McDowell telling the story -in first person- after he was "cured, right" :P

Anthny Burguess complained that chapter 21 included the "hope" and this was excluded to his (and my) dissappointment.

Anyway, the original was a masterpiece, I agree.

    Best from Spain.

  • Chapter 21 was only excluded from The American version of the book and Kubrick being American only read that version. Later Kubrick commented that he did not like the wrapped up ending and preferred the more ambiguous idea.

  • i agree sequels suck but i do think its just a matter of time before hollywood remakes it which i think will be awful.

  • Yeah but what do you think about a prequel that wuld focus more about the story of the droogs? I think this culd be a jackpot.

  • @johnisallin I agree to a certain level yes, a remake would be terrible because of how grim they are making witty characters now for example my worst fear for what would be Alex happened to robin hood by sucking away his wit and cocky-ness and yes a squeal would be bad but if in the future they do decide to remake a clockwork orange i would like it much more like the book and as a true clockwork orange fan you seem to be I'm sure you've read it and know were I'm coming from.

  • @johnisallin i think they culd make a prequell...a part 2 witch malcom Playng Alex as a grown man with his own Kids culd be intresting too bu the poryginal is just a masterpiece

  • @johnisallin I concur wholeheartedly.

  • @johnisallin

I don't think anyone would ever make a sequel film to one based on a book of that caliber when the book itself does not have a sequel.

  • @johnisallin Oh gtfo.

  • @johnisallin in the words of bill oreily, Fuck it we'll do it LIVE!!!

  • @johnisallin If they do... 'They' must have Robert Webb as playing the new 'Alex', or his family relative, I reckon.

  • that was the most hilarious comment I have ever read

  • Vidi bien.

  • coffee salesman, love info of famous people like that.think that people he sold to reconised him later on in movies? "oh no's! when they saw clockwork orange hahahaha

  • nice colors there malcom.glory glory my good man.

  • I get chills whenever that man speaks

  • I know what you mean.

  • He is sooo sexy! He drives me crazy!

  • President John Henry Eden!!!

    Fallout 3!!!!

  • 10:05.That is a funny story about that young kid noticing him from A clockwork Orange."What part the old guy?" lol

  • And he knows how to be gracious and polite and accept an introduction. Unlike BBT.

  • Most Hottest Man To Me. Malcolm FOREVER!

  • Malcolm Mcdowell.... :D <3

  • Its incredible. This man has played some of the greatest, most pure evil characters ever to grace the big screen and small screen, yet he is so cool and kind in real life. I grew up watching him play some great characters and I hope to see him continue until, as he says, he 'drops'.

  • Qtv demonstrates how beneficial and enjoyable the internet can be. Thanks for this terrific content.

  • sometimes, Malcolm is eeriely like Anthony Hopkins. I dunno why, but he just is... By the way, Malcolm is an awesome actor :D Love you in Orange!

  • PS: As much as I love Cap'tain Kirk... thank you for killing him!

  • When I listen to Q, I had no idea that the visual quality was so good! I love the little "lightbulb off" option... all CBC on YouTube should.

Great interview. I saw him, from a distance at the 2007 Fan Expo.

Re: Orange. Love the quote about "the old guy". Sadly now what was extreme violence is the norm in movies such as Bond... I loved the aspect of redemption in this movie. Still looking for a milk bar....

  • fucking legend. best actor ever!

  • Malcolm The Great!

  • no 1
