I am brand new to Archery but 70 years old.I have found your videos the best yet to help me learn. I purchased a release but have noticed in your videos the length of my release is longer and not adjustable then the one you use in your videos. When I set my noc point I seem to have to stretch back to achieve it but when I use my fingers it is perfect. I have a Parker Wildfire and it is set at the shortest draw now of 26" I would like to know where I can get a shorter release.
IM LOOKING FOR SOME HELP!!!! I am looking to purchase my first bow(a few people have recomended a bear archery strike for a beginner) and start bow hunting, but I don't know the first thing about it and don't have any friends or family that do either. If anyone could refer me to a good source or have any advice of their own on choosing my first bow, and on explaining the purpose and function of each piece of the bow as well as any accessories. Thanks, I appreciate any help I can get.
@ToroToker My freind sells bows and he reffered me to a diamond bow, good single cam bows with great ibo speeds ect. They run about 450-650$.... We had to order a new one because we wanted it to fit perfectly for me.
@ToroToker Same for me. Hit me up if you get any advice cause I have no family who can teach me and I've never even shot a bow but I'm obsessed with it!
can any one buy me a hunting bow, im about to go survival some where in north america all my life.i didnt tell my family that im going to do. and i dont have money at all, so if anyone can help me let me know.i beging on u guys...just as me friends first if u want to know the reason.
Im 5'10 with a 71.5 inch wingspan, i shoot a 28.5 inch draw length on my Oneida black eagle with a finger release, i anchor in the corner of my lip against a solid wall.. IMO 50% of archers are shooting overdrawn... all of my buddies use a wrist release with bows set to 29.5 to 31 inches.. one is 6 ' tall and his draw is 31+ counting the D loop.. i chalk it all up to testosterone.. everyone want to brag they shoot a 70lb bow at 30".. imo, if you have D loop subtract 3/4" from your draw length.
@ohcaptainmycaptain4 hey man im 15 150 pounds and i tryied a 60 pound and it was pretty challenging and i play football and benchpress about 150. i use a 55 now and its perfect
@ohcaptainmycaptain4 how much draw weight really depends on your upper body strength. im 16 and i can shoot my dads 70 pretty well and am in the market for one myself. the best way you can find the draw wheight for you is to go to an archery shop or find someone who owns a bow and try it out.
the arrows were tight, gotta love the axis. what was your draw length? i was shooting 29 for 6 years then bought a bow at 30.5 that I can shoot comfortable from a treestand with camo on my arms. Big speed diffeerence

does the arrow have to be the same length as the draw length?

I enquired about archery at a local shop and the clerk said. Measure the span of your arms in inches and divide by 2.5. How is that?
