  • false map

  • not a false map cuz fasle map dont get that big

  • i know exactly what type of map turtle that is. It is a Ouachita map turtle. People say this is a mississippi or a false map, but it's not. Ouachita map turtles look a lot like mississippi or false maps.

  • soooo big :O :D

  • ouachita map, i have one, looks identical.

  • Female Mississppi Map Turtle

  • man you need to give that into the shop or get a bigger tank seriouse

  • i am getting a new tank for her as soon as i move

  • Two small?!! l00l

  • THis is False map turtle. I have the same

  • false map turtle ? false as in fake ?

  • Nice Mississippi Map. My girl is a bit bigger. She looks identical though :)

  • Looks like an Ouachita to me. Is there a bar across it's pupil? Usually map turtles don't have a bar unless its a Ouachita or False map turtle.

Mississippi Map turtles will have a yellow crest around the eye.

  • She's not a mississippi map turtle. She's a Ouachita Map. And she's got some really nice spikes on her keal. To see more map turtle videos (tragic) type Steve Santhuff on You Tube.

  • another question what do you feed him i have one too i just feed him pellets

  • I feed her dried shrimp tubiflex and lettuce. i sometimes give her worms to eat when i find some big enough.

  • shrimp is usually ment for treats. maybe u should get her some pellets.

  • how old is he?

  • i think she is a girl ;) im not sure i bought her from the pet store this size

  • I think it is a male. Judging the size of his nails and tail. Females have extremely long nails and fat long tails.

  • that turtle got swagger!

  • The two square dots above the eye would indicate a mississippi map...but what would i know :)

  • it's a mississippi map :D

I have one just like it :)

  • Looks like a Ouachita Map turtle to me.

  • NO TARD, the two squares above the eyes, its a missipi map turtle

  • nice turtle m8 n its tank looks a pretty good size.

i might be getting a turtle. any recomended shops?

  • do you have a pets at home near you, i find them very helpful but i dont think they sell the uv lights a turtle needs. You either need to buy one online or get one from a specialist shop.

  • well we have a pets at home near us but they dont have turtles..... theres 1 called tanks a lol but they only sell large species.

  • you will have to try any place, just ring everywhere near you up and see if they sell them and if they dont just ask them if they will get a turtle in for you

  • i agree i think it is a mississippi map turtle

  • i think thats a mississippi map turtle

  • i have 3 turtles and they only babies the largest one is 4inches

  • how big the turtle and how big the tank cos i have 3 turtles and im trying to get the right size

  • well she's about 7.5 inches and the tank is 3ft long but i dont know how many galons/litres it is coz its homemade but i think im going to have to get a 4ft tank made so you will need a big tank if you have three? how big are your turtles?

  • i have 1 but not even close to that

  • i also have one of those =D

  • ohhh wait no dat is a map turtle

  • like ive already said:

1.the tank is bigger than that its just she stays in one spot and 2. she has plenty to do and watch, she wasnt very comfortable in there at first thats why she was staying there. now she swims all over and watches tv

  • jesus christ thats giant i wonder wen my map turtle will get big like dat the tank looks to small nd thats nt a map turtle its that ouchia one i fink

  • the tank isnt that small actually, its just she liked to stay in the same spot for ages. Now though she likes exploring and chasing food! :)

  • an ouchita map turtle is a map turtle...

  • It's not a mississippi map turtle, it's a Ouachita Map Turtle. There are about 5 varieties of Mississippi map turtle, most people don't even know that. There are about 3 or 4 varieties of Ouachita Map Turtle. That looks like a Ouachita Map Turtle from Central Arkansas, not Northern or Southern but Central Arkansas. Don't ask me how I know you won't believe me if I told you.

  • did you get abducted by turtles?

  • lol

  • im not sure i no it is eithr a false map turtle or a mississippi turtle they look alot alike i do have a mississippi map turtle

  • Definetely female. At home we've got two red ear terrapins and three yellow belly sliders living in the pond. They hibernate and seem to do well. Check out the pond on my channel. Your turtle looked in good nick.

  • How big and how old is it?

  • shes somewhere around 8 inches and we dont know how old she is because we bought her this size from our local pet store but i would guess between 5-10 years but im probably wrong

  • 8 inches - that's really something! I've a map turtle of about 17 months old and it looks very similar to yours. She was a baby and measured no bigger than 4 cm when we bought her from a pet store. So we have an idea how big she will grow. I'll post a video about her and several other turtles which I've been keeping. The eldest one is already 26 months old.

  • thats a girl alright, if u ask me it looks exactly like mine wich is a false map but i may be wrong

  • Cool Turtle !

    Love it .... :-D

  • nice guy! looks like a 'graptemys ouachitensis ouachitensis' and If you'd ask me I'd say it's a girl!

    cheers!
