I have played this song every hour of every day of my life since they made this series based on me and Laura. I cry every day for Laura....I miss her so much....I love you baby...I love you so much....
@TheCrocHunter1 you're just too fucking pathetic bro, I watched another video of Laura Palmer (with her soundtrack) where you're spouting your ''forever alone lvl CrocHunter'' bullshit, telling again your ''story'' and you mentioned that her name was Laura Bannister, not Laura Partidge you lying pathetic piece of shit. You should get a life before it's too late 'cause you already are a no-lifer. Go hand yourself and stop posting bullshit.
@kaneiak..I speak the truth..what is fuckin wrong with you people. When I met Laura her mother was with another man (her step father), called Jonathon Bannister. Five years after Laura's death her Mum, Phillis Partridge separated from Jonathon, and she requested that Laura be refered to by her maiden name. You should find out the full facts before you shoot off your big mouth. Why can't people just accept that Laura and I were totally and deeply in love...Come back to me baby...please Laura xx
Nah, I'll just go brew some coffee (which I've oddly taken a liking to since watching the series...Probably helps that we got an actual coffee maker now instead of instant though. Ironic that the brewed coffee is ready quicker than the instant XD). And watch the movie that I haven't seen yet.
Oh god, I forgot about that...Luckily percolators are obsolete technology and I don't use one. XD
Also, I watched the movie on my computer. Took me from 11 AM to 2 PM (I kept getting sidetracked by the internet). It raised SOOOOO many more questions than it answered. D:
People boo'd it when it was first shown. The problem is they went in expecting it to be like the TV show and it's not. It's a feature film and it focuses on Laura almost exclusively. Many also disliked it for being rather dark. The show has quirk and comedy balanced with darkness. The movie, not so much.
That said, many do think it's good. I thought it was. But it was also very confusing as it raised many questions. And that's not even mentioning the Black Lodge...
To clarify, time inside the Lodge is an absolute mindfuck. Cooper (who was trapped inside in the season two finale) somehow manages to exist in the present, 25 years in the future, and even -before the murder of Laura Palmer that led to him getting trapped there-, sometimes simultaneously). Take any notion of how time passes and chuck it in a blender, basically.
Also, it's a 2-hour movie. But you see Laura's tits a few times. And Donna's once (new actor, same character).
@Ygdrasel- DO NOT talk about Laura's breasts like you have some fantasy going on!! Laura was a real person DAMN you! She was my fiance. Twin Peaks is/was based on a true story. In 1984 I went camping by the Cedar River in Washington with my fiance Laura Partidge. When I awoke in the morning Laura was not lying beside me. After several hours I raised the alarm. Three days later she was found down stream, the cop who first spoke to me said, "sorry son, we found her, she's dead..wrapped in plastic"
@Ygdrasel...I can assure you it is not bullshit. It is the absolute truth. I loved Laura so much, I still do. My life is a wreck and has been for almost 28 years now. Right now, while I type this to you, listening to this track, my keyboard is becoming soaked from the continuous stream of tears rolling down my face. She meant everything to me.....oh Laura...why?...WHY!!!!!...I love you baby, I love you so much.
@Ygdrasel ...You scum bag piece of shit....have you no compassion at all? Have you no sympathy for fellow mankind? Are you incapable of feeling emotion?
WHY!! Why did they take Laura from me....Noooooooo!! I love you baby. I love you so much!
It's also a very experimental film so...Expect surrealism and confusing imagery. It's Lynch so expect that regardless but especially when he tries to experiment.
I watch a lot of investigation discovery, and i swear one of their murder shows plays this or something extremely similar in the background. I'm dying to know if its an homage or just a coincidence.
the twin peaks soundtrack is just out of this world. I remember watching the pilot a long time ago, the soundtrack was haunting and romantic at the same time. The mood of this series is just remarkable.
I've noticed a lot of people I see comment on this piece say it makes them feel sad or tearful. I can understand why but for me, I always felt it was more frightening than sad. Even the high pitched moments that were meant to symbolise Laura crying according to Angelo and Lynch always made me feel less sad and more of an uneasiness.
@Zeph101theoriginal : same here. to me, this is pretty the scariest soundtrack ever (especially because it's not over-the-top but this sounds like a instead constant, lurking threat to me).
This is so beautiful, if you can embrace the emotion...no tears?...keep listening. My eyes swell every wonderful time I listen to it. Bravo Angelo, bravo!!!!

tangoseven70 2 months ago
@tangoseven70 two themes intertwined here, Laura could never get away from the presence of B.O.B. in her life (( is sad, and it is menacing.
