Kedarispimp has a point...I support "the PRIDE" musically as always, but it does seem like we are getting a little away from our roots, which has been strong middle brass harmonies, and fluidity of soung. I don't want us to become another one of those SWAC "woofing" machines just for the sake of popularity.

As a "100" member, I have much respect for the BCC. For the past several years, they have cleaned up a lot of their weaknesses (tubas have much better tone and are not just splatting notes). As a 13yr arranger myself, no "arrangement" is truly original. That's what defines the term "arrangement." The arrangement is tight (no matter when it written). I did hear some articulation issues, but overall I'm impressed.

Well I can believe that a student arranged this bececause BCC did not play Big Ballin until A&T blowed it on them in 2001> The Aggies had to post up behind The Goal Post because the Band arrived to the game late due to traffic and BCC had sold there seats. The then small band with the big sound gave BCC an eye opener that game and woke them up. How I loved the smaller addition of A&T. They had a Killer Instinct mentality when they showed up and showed out on whoever.

Mr. Poitier is one of the most sought out arranger's in the nation now, who also received his master's in trumpet performance and arranging from The American Conservatory of Music.
