How did you unlock Funky Kong? I've beaten many staff ghosts, but I've never unlocked any "Fast Staff Ghosts" (except for Luigi Circuit). How do you get a "Fast Staff Ghost"?

I think the reason why they did it reverse was because some pepole take the ultra shortcut at the begining anyway great video.

My record is 2:00:105 by Rosalina with the Jetsetter.

I tried this with the Jetsetter first since Funky Kong has amazing speed with it. I switched to the Flame Flyer after a couple of tries, even though I seem to control both really well. I managed a time of around 1:57 before I went on vacation.

Cutting the corners close and avoiding the three mushrooms in a cluster helped. I also used the "hidden" mushroom, but I don't know if it's the best choice or not.

I never even thought about cutting through the grass.

take the turns a little tighter.

you can clear WAY more on the part he used the shroom. even over the air a little.

I managed to get around 1:56 in this tournament, though I avoided that group of 3 mushrooms to help get this time. I also snaked a tiny bit at the last stretch of the track.

I tried to use the Jetsetter for this track, but the kart's poor cornering capabilities was just too unbearable, so I ended up using the Flame Flyer to set my record instead.

You should use your mushrooms near the end. Right after the bridge, on the right side, use your mushroom and you can jump on that big red mushroom, I think that's faster. My record is 2:00.000 ^^ But I'm pretty sure I can improve that :)

I don't think it's any quicker to use them after the bridge. If you really cut the first corner well, it's quicker.

I've only managed 1:59:2xx so far. Like you say, it's easy to miss a mushroom in the cave. I'm sure you'll improve!

This could've been a very fun competition... On a different track. Seriously, the mushrooms hate me and I hate them. ;_; My current record is 2:02:103 with Mk 2 Dasher B (or something like that), but I haven't tried a lot yet... Not really feeling like doing so.

I find that you've gotta be very careful on the Mushrooms other you will bounce to your doom. That's why I don't trick off every mushroom, sometimes I don't so I can reposition myself
