@Typhus2009 also called sidechaining. is basically when the bass from your kick drum shuts all other sounds. like in this song, when you ear the kicks you can ear that the synth volume (4:35) goes down a little bit, but when the kick shuts up the synth volume is equally leveled (0:00).

@snowdjagha looooooooooooooooooooooooooooo­oooooooooooooooooooooool. your right about sidechaing compression that shuts other sounds out. but that is certainly not how they get this sound. they get samples and the slice it up and arrange it. the sidechaing is also used but that is only a small part.

the quality is too low to tell. he could be using a midi keyboard on some sort of vst plug-in for some sort of software... its pretty close to impossible to give u a definitive answer on that one
