  • Again i meant no disrespect to anyone, this band is one of my favorite bands in RnR. I just meant that i enjoy some of my RnR to left meaning bands or artist that are more obscure, alone by my username you can tell i'm a "BOWIE" fan & not that commercial Bull Shit from the 80's, except for 'Scary Monsters & Tin Machine' who can ROCK like any other hard rock band. Again sorry for the misunderstanding. Thanx a lad insane...

  • @goongacortinas, i'm a "Leftie in political & liberal life period." But. this mighty band has always been a favorite from the beginning. And i don't think they are 'Metal' at all, iwouldn't listen to them if they were, with a different sound of course.=(

  • @rebel2rebel not sure what your political leanings have to do with your musical choice. I'm glad you enjoy this great band, though.

  • @rebel2rebel they were considered the first heavy metal band in history

  • So, every time I watch this or any of these parts to this song, they NEVER have to buffer. Not once.

  • Moby Dick.......Dazed and Confused,,,,,,,No Quarter,,,,,,,,,showcase how good Zep is.......and how much better they are than any other band.

    Especially with performances like this.

  • As my cousin would say, 'they were on something good that day'

  • anyone know where i can get a dvd of the entire earls court show?

  • too bad bands dont make tunes like this anymore, fucking epic song!

  • this song is so sexy.

  • zeppelin will always be ahead of the times

  • hi folks, my name is john paul jones and i'm one of the most amazing musician around this world. I can play the bass, the piano and many instruments while making love to your mama. So just listen and feel bad about yourself.

  • Zep were miles ahead of anyone else in my book. Just amazing. I dig Jones piano work here. What an ethereal feel to this whole performance.

  • you guys should listen to phish

  • I heard the 'soundboard" of this. The best version I have ever heard in my life. I know the gaps are when he goes from keyboards to piano, but he/they are soooooooooo good. They needed JOHN PAUL JONES. This is so awesome. My faveorite led zeppelin song!!!!

  • is this on the commercially released dvd?

I would love to hear the audience tape from the bootleg of this 25 minute version song

i want to hear it from an audience tape

  • Comment removed

  • blacklight posters , inscense to cover up the smell, what a flashback, haha love it!

  • Incredible. i love this song. the keyboards are so chilling. Led zeppelin were my first ever favourite band and still are. i proudly wear a led zeppelin t-shirt every week. they are just in a league of their own. they reached Valhalla the moment they first stepped on stage together.

  • @MrAdomus same, i have enough zepp shirts for 2 weeks

  • They were heavy for alot of reasons....but for me it was the way you could drink 10 beers and listen to them OR you could smoke a joint and take some acid.

There are not many bands today you can do that with

  • The camera's on Jonesy. Is this really Led Zeppelin?

  • plant's off key. Still luv 'em.

  • Jonesy could have very easily been a famous composer/ performer (well, he was)

  • man this song grooves hard

  • This song is an LSD trip by itself

  • No quarter to the guy that disliked this.

  • epic...epic

  • A Zeppelin and Sabbath debate... Zeppelin was way more colorful in their music and more skilled. Love Sabbath a lot though but they don't come close imo.

  • Ladies and Gentlemen... Jon Paul Jones.... I love his soloing, especially in all of there live no quarter jams ( dragon snake especially) He was the most stable, yet versatile musician in this band, and really laid alot of groundwork that he doesnt get credit for..

  • okay whos that one doushebag who disliked this?

  • If only Zeppelin had been filmed in 1972 at the TRUE peak of their powers went plant had a good 1.5 additional, non-falsetto octaves, wow! Still, Earl's Court has some great moments. Geezer Butler's played SOME excellent stuff but not really in the league of JPJ.

By the way if anyone has seen JPJ 'showcase' from around 2007 in Vegas, JESUS fucking Christ. He is playing far more notes, far cleaner than Page ever did. Which is not to compare the two. Only to say, JC!

  • One person's f@cking retarded and loves Justin Bieber.

  • @tyrehoward here we go with Bieber again hahaha

You know, if you don't talk about him, and just refuse to acknowledge his existence, maybe he, and his fans, will just, disappear?

  • @Valcarion lol i wish they will xD

  • pfff black sabbath comes not in the near of led zeppelin , great band too , but zep has a wide more range of different styles , they wrote the best music in history , for me .

    best 5 bands :

    led zeppelin

hendrix experience (these 3 hendrix records are pure genius)

pink floyd (if you seen them 3times live like me you will understand , i was back in the 80s at "the wall" tournee ;)

    metallica

    beatles/stones (5th place together

  • I to have seen the other bands people talk about on this thread. But the best band i ever saw was Zeppelin,no ifs no buts. They were so fucking powerful.

  • This one still has the ability to send shivers down my spine. Damn, there is no other band like Zeppelin.

  • Одна из лучших групп за всю историю

  • @TheRiddaren Well said my friend! Long Live Zep

  • Absolutely haunting keyboard part.

  • deep purple and sabbath are so one dimensional compared to zeppelin though, sabbath was heavier...that's all they had going for them, the difference is zeppelin could have played stuff just as heavy if they wanted to, but those other bands couldn't pull off anything close to say like say kashmir, since I've been loving you, that's the way, etc, zeppelin was just too dynamic and high caliber to have any competition really

  • @goongacortinas I love all three bands... I would perhaps agree about Sabbath, but I've always loved the stuff Deep Purple have done. Thin Lizzy's another fantastic band, which really grooves (thanks to the legendary Brian Downey on drums).

That said, Led Zeppelin is my favorite by far. There's something special about them. I can't put my finger on it exactly, but whatever it is, it's magic.

  • @Obelix5150 for sure, I love sabbath as well, it's awesome digging up rare and alternate versions of their songs, ahh but there zeppelin goes again...king of the bootlegs lol

  • @goongacortinas And sorry Black Sabbath was Dio Ozzie was what made the name but.............. Rainbow........... Sabbath...........Dio.... are you serious

  • @goongacortinas you kidding? 1-D? man, no clue!

  • @goongacortinas you said it bruh, hail Led Zeppelin

  • i kind of agree but Zeppelin and Sabbath both layed stuff down in their own fashion yes i agree that sabbath mainly had the Heavy thing going for them and Zeppelin could have easily done that but if you think about it Sabbath brought a more evil chilling sense to it but id have to say Zeppelin and Sabbath both should be at number one because they brought so much more to the plate for bands to follow @goongacortinas

  • Jimmy and Tony are equal id say Jimmy's a little more laid back into the groove of things but Tonys usually on the ball and is very melodic with his solos just as much as Jimmy, Plant deff better than Ozzy tho Ozzy did good for Sabbath Geezer is an amazing bassist id have to say JPJ is equally amazing Bass skill wise because if you really listen to Geezer he came up with some great stuff everything else he obviously rapes and obviously you cant really beat John on the drums haha @goongacortinas

  • @goongacortinas Dude, this is without a doubt the Heaviest band there ever was,The Mighty Led Zeppelin,Think about their songs, the sheer numbers, its mind boggling, only AC/DC can come close,as far as a legitimate Rock band, Guns and roses?,Bon Jovi?were just stage acts compared to Led Zeppelin far as Im concerned,You cant think Rock and Roll with out thinking L.Z.

  • @goongacortinas too dynamic. that's right. they didn't stuck in one genre. but they explore music and they dig music. with all of their controversy and critics, they gave a great contribution for music and their creation still living until now

  • @goongacortinas

Lol. That's one of the dumbest most biased comments I've read for a while.

  • @goongacortinas well when you listen to Sabbath's "changes" and "laguna sunrise", you kinda contradict your'e statement. Sabbath didn't want to go for the more bluesy tone that Led Zeppelin did. THey wanted to do a much heavier type of music than anyone had done before, and that was appearent when they made "Black Sabbath". If Sabbath had wanted to, they could have done some of the more bluesy stuff. They just chose to go a heavier path.

  • @goongacortinas agreed

  • a lot of bands gave good run's in their day till it came to tour time, that's when a lot of the so called contenders stayed home, when zeppelin put on 5 hour live performances, not many bands liked only having the stage for 3 or 4 song's

  • This is as heavy as heavy metal gets.

  • @klumberg

    This isn't Heavy Metal.

  • What exactly is heavy metal?, To me heavy metal is dark and loud like this.@Murreh

  • 0:53

I can only imagine what it'd feel like to be playing an electric piano through a Leslie while mist runs inbetween my fingers. What an atmosphere.

  • NO MERCY

  • go jonesy nicely done!

  • JPJ- love the trippy keys but whats with that jacket?

  • they will always be awesome at any age

  • AWESOME!! The sound and artistic depth that Led Zeppelin created can NEVER be replicated......the best band ever by far!!!

  • I agree although there are bands like Deep Purple & Black Sabbath in the day which could give them a run for their money......

  • @ogrebattle22763 In my opinion Thin Lizzy could give them a run for their money as well, but Led Zeppelin always remains the best in my book.

  • Yes Thin Lizzy with the late great Phil Lynott I agree without a doubt.........

  • @ogrebattle22763 I saw all these bands live in my youth, all were good but zep were great.Iattened theearls court concert cost £2.50 they played over 3 hours best concert i ever been to

  • @multiwadey1 I have seen many great bands myself we are probably about the same age this is when music was music... I will add this to my comment there is a band who Ii thought were quite good live also & that was queen some fans may scoff at this but regardless what people say they put on some shows...

  • this is like sex for the ears

  • GREAT !! EX ELENT

  • good god that guitar tone....

  • im excited for the tcv album

  • I love the smoke coming up. He's like, "I can't see my fingers."

  • bs and lz r totally different things

cant compare them in any way

  • I always liked the live version of this better than the one on HOTH.

  • i love it when Jonesy just starts of on his own with experiment. it's like just pure magic, comforting also

  • John was such an important part of the band. The utility man. In my opinion, John, Bonzo, Robert and Jimmy, are leagues above all others.

  • happy b-day jonesy

  • Comment removed

  • This performance, as a whole, is a masterpiece. John Paul Jones' keyboards breathlessly trickling across the arena. Reminds me of rain on a rooftop. The look on Jonesy's face when Jimmy comes in during the improv is priceless. A beautiful and brilliant example of Jimmy, Jonesy, and Bonzo playing off of each other... what else can I say? I'm speechless... :-)

  • That is pure magic, there is no other word for it...........

  • I agree ! Sabbath were good but still not on this level

  • have you seen them? i bet that the live you ve seen is the last supper. Yeah they may suck at the age of 50+

  • bite me bitch

  • still better than black sabbath and all

    the rest.end of fucking story.

  • So true, my friend.

  • how to donwnload complete of this concert show?

  • Long time ago, i bought a dvd of it . if you google zeppelin earls court dvd, im sure something would show up.

  • John Paul Jones is a musical God.

  • JONESY

  • Yep, what more must one say :)

  • holy fuck! this is amazing

  • fucking amazing

  • finallyyy the camera is on john paul jones for a whhile:D

  • @wholelottalove1969 thats what this song is for. It like how any sing with a solo is Jimmys time to shine. Same with Plant. John Bonham has moby dick and JPJ has no quarter.

  • ahahah magari sei italiano! beh in questo caso grazie del video!

  • hey.. i am Italian and my english is not very good.. This is one of my favorite classic-rock song, thank you!!! :)

  • OMG fantastic!

  • It is a great rendition, be sure to check out parts 2 and 3.

  • NICE!
