  • I believe as you about keeping Torah and YHWH and Yahshuah .But are we Christians or Jews .I don't feel like I am a Christian anymore.I feel like our faith is closer to a pure form of Judaism which the prophesied messiah has come a Judaism that which does not consider the writings of the Pharisees.Christianity with all it's false teachings,Lawlessness, and pagan holidays seems to be far from YHWH and Yahshuah honestly it seems to be another faith almost entirely. What do you think about this?

  • 1John 3:4 for sin is lawlessness and lawlessness is sin.

  • Reading the Torah with one's head uncovered.

A clear example of being told to follow the Law by someone who chooses not to follow the Law.

  • @pupsenok Where does the Torah or any other book of the Bible teach us to wear a head covering while reading the Torah?

  • @SimplyThinkDreams

In Judaism, there is the written law (Torah) and the unwritten law (Talmud).

You can google Jewish law in order to educate yourself further, or simply go to "kippah" in Wikipedia.

  • @pupsenok Yes, but the Talmud is not Scripture; rather, it is writings of rabbinical discussions. If we go solely by Scripture, there is no commandment to cover your head while reading Torah. 1 Corinthians 11:3-4 teaches that a man who wears a head covering while praying or prophesying dishonors his head. The man in this video is a Messianic believer. Yeshua taught us not to follow after the doctrines and traditions of men. He rebuked the Pharisees and Saducees for doing so.

  • @SimplyThinkDreams

The Talmud is binding upon Jews. It is not rabbinical discussions, but the oral law given to Moses by God along with the Torah. You cannot expect the Christian repudiation of the entirety of Mosaic law to apply to Jews.

If the presenter is not following the oral law given to Moses by God, then he is breaking the law. If he thinks that the law does not apply to him and he believes in Jesus Christ, then he is not a Jew, but a Christian...and a deceptive one at that.

  • @pupsenok The presenter hasn't been deceptive; rather, he clearly states that he is a Messianic believer in many other videos. What evidence do you have that God ever gave Moses an oral law? Don't you think he would have mentioned this oral law somewhere in the Torah? In Deuteronomy 17:18-20 we are taught to copy the Torah by hand and to read from it every night. Nowhere in the Torah is an oral law ever mentioned. Have you ever considered the Talmud is just made up by men and not by God?

  • @SimplyThinkDreams

In the Torah, we are told to keep the Sabbath holy, and to butcher animals in accordance with the law, and to perform sacrifices in accordance with the law. But, the specifics of the law are not given in the Torah. It is a necessary implication that there is such a set of laws.

Of course, both the Talmud and the Torah are made up by men. You are right on that one.

  • @pupsenok The specifics of keeping the sabbath are given: do not work on the sabbath or have anyone work for you. The sacrifices are described in great detail in the Torah. What to do with the blood, fat, where to wipe the blood, what to burn, what to eat, etc, etc.

Are you saying that you do not believe the Torah is ordained by God and was made up by men? I am confused. Obviously, man physically wrote the Torah but it was ordained by God.

  • @SimplyThinkDreams

The totality of the laws are not given in the Torah, and most specifically not that of Kashruth.

Of course, the Torah and the entirety of the Bible were made up by men. The contradictionss, the petty and vile deity, the immorality, they all lead to no other conclusion.

  • brother paul thank you, i look forward to all of your videos... shalom

  • Brother Paul, this is a very good video. I am looking forward to see what Elohim has to say in this week's Portion. I'll be keeping my eye's open for your commentary. Shalom

  • Sometimes kids rebel because their parents are abusive. I see this over and over again. It does not necessarily mean these kids don't want to be good and can't be good in society if they catch themselves. I am one such kid (now adult) who was raised by a tortured abusive parent. I left as soon as I felt I could and raised myself the rest of the way. After becoming successful, I can have compassion on my father as much as possible. However, some parents are unacceptable. What say you ?
