I haven't seen the movie yet but I'm glad to hear that Frank Quitely's artwork wasn't implemented into the animation because I didn't really like it that much either. It's also sad to see McDuffie go. He made great contributions through those shows.
R.I.P Mr Mac Duffie thanks for JLU,Static & milestone (allahi yarhmik)
say raporfest if you hate quietly 's art (srsly how can't you like over-inflated parade balloons with constipation looks on their foetus heads) just thank god you didn't read morrison x-men, i did & i swear johns's flawed(to not say missing the point of) dianna has nothing on morrison's x-men...he made them gut numbingly despicable & not inthe good way
hmmmm, well i must say his death was indeed unfortunite and tragic, but i do find it interesting that his last project was to be a superman comic adaption that was,nt his iwn work. Aw well, at least he leacve a good legacy behind him.
because you honored Mr. MacDuffie & his family first before you gave your review in this video and I'm forever in your debt. I am so sorry that he passed away too soon in his age...my heart goes out to his family & colleagues.
@Diakron79 Yeah, I judge the film or comic book like every other one and try not to let my personal bias get in the way. Even my favorite creators like Mark Waid and Phil Jimenez, I do have problems with some of their works at times like I loved Phil's art but certain characters like the Rogues, he doesn't draw well or Waid's later work on the Flash post Infinite Crisis was really medicore.
b/c this a comic book that got adapted by the folks who turned off about DC toons b/c they should've adapted Grant Morrison & Mark Waid's JLA version to the DCAU from the get-go...That being said, your review was sensible and balanced. You didn't let tragic circumstances hold back your honest critique about this movie..I know it's hard to do but for that...I commend you.(cont.)
I want to sincerely applaud you for giving out your eulogy to Dwayne MacDuffie of who I remained shocked at his sudden demise. I had my strong opinions of the projects he wrote. I loved him for Milestone Comics & Ben10, but at same time I hated him for DCAU...and the aftermath of my fallout was what drove me to reading All-Star Superman comics. Now ... the irony...the dramatic irony...has never hit me in the guts so hard like this (cont.)

I personally love this movie. One of my most favorites this year so far.

McDuffie brought awareness of racial stereotypes to comics because he didn't write "black stories," he simply wrote stories.
