The Japanese have very interesting and wildly entertaining mythology and folklore which I personally find to be very satisfying and totaly cool also. Please check some of it out if you aren't familiar with it. You won't be disappointed.

best bits were the aircraft,you could see the wires LOL,nthen there was when the guy was on fire and you could see it was a toy LOL i think the film is a comady guys dont take it too serious ,still i would like to see a real monster movie done right soon ,as its been ages since there was one :(

Okay...This director has some serious balls.

Flat out insulting the three greatest Movie Monsters in history, and making his own seem like the 'Guy on the Block' really staggers me. I think that's it's a little worse than the Douche Level of the American Godzilla of 98.

though he does make good points...I hate CGI now a days. But his monster...quite frankly it looks stupid. and the Trailer...it looks a little too silly. Just watch the trailer and you'll know what I mean.

Actually Godzilla is just taking a long break before toho reintroduces him into the world around 2012 and 2014. The second monster needs a name though, how about...Mizuchi after the japanese water demon? Yaaaah....probably not.....Any way this man rules!! It will be cool to see a kaiju film shot in the 60's,and 70's style of the grand showa age again. :)

I wish him well with this, and I want to see it. However, I think that, unless studios like Toho realize that man-in-suit NEEDS to give way to CGI, the Kaiju genre will be dead. Main-in-suit, although the "traditional" method of bringing giant monsters, just doesn't make it with the masses anymore.

@gbrycki: Maybe not for you, it does, but this genre is so indelibly associated with suitmation that to render it sterile and lifeless with CGI would ruin it, in my opinion and the opinions of fans in Japan and worldwide. Long live the Rubber Suit!
