It is used by a number of professional militaries around the world as a simulator, and it allows extensive amounts of moddability and truly massive realistic recreations of terrains. It is an invaluable tool to many forces, both in virtual exercises and otherwise. It allows infinite complexity in simulations if guided to do so, and that was one of their focuses when coding.
