Philadelphia Union: 2010 Inagural Season

I can respect the United. They have been the dominant team in the MLS for most of the MLS existance. But the last few years they havent done much of anything worth bragging about. And you can thank the Union for getting Perkins back. We have a solid team thats shaping up. Young too. I think we will be a pretty good team if all goes well.

i have my red bulls vid coming out soon, why lincoln financial though? i thought they had their own place being built and thats an awesome opener against United, they are gay

Yeah we have our own stadium being built. It's running a little behind schedule but I think the opener was planned for the Linc a while before that anyway. And yeah I agree, that is a good home opener. Our first game ever though is at Seattle on March 25th. That's gonna be on ESPN2.

@pefreak520 seattle is incredible, they had like more fans than any mls team ever had in all the seasons, in one game!

but that philly team will make it much easier for me to catch red bull games, im in philly about one weekend a month

Yeah Seattle was amazing last year. It would be hard for anyone to match what they did but there is a lot of excitement and hype in Philly over this team. I think we can come close to what they did at the least. Our stadium is nearly 3/4 sold out for season tickets already from the last I heard. Single game tickets might be hard to come by. I'm going to go to as many games as possible and hope to go to DC for a game when the Union play there too.

Just let me know. I'm always down for going to a game. I was thinking, I really wouldnt mind going to a Red Bulls game when the Union play there too. That stadium is supposed to be pretty nice.

@pefreak520, I had a e-mail discussion with a co-worker about MLS. He said the Union has a supporter group called the "Son's of Ben". I've yet to see a FC Sounders game but I heard there is a different kind of energy different from the NFL.

Yeah the Sons Of Ben (SoBs lol) are a great supporters group. They played a big role in helping Philly get a team. They were around before we even got a ream. They would go to other international matches and MLS games with chants something to the affect of "we dont have a team but were here" They are growing big time too. I have never been to an MLS game either but that's gonna change this year. I have a lot of respect for Seattle and what they did last year. We play them our first match.
