this is just incredible, this soundtrack has a variation and an originality beyond any good ost in the ps1 in my opinion. The melody, the instruments, the structure, ITS JUST PERFECT, THIS IS MY ONE OF MY BIGGEST INSPIRATIONS. All of this music fits perfectly with the world´s theme and this one in particular with reaching the end of the game , its really original in every way and i just simply LOVE IT!

@wizzlekidd I was thinking of a game called Crash Bandicoot DARK. I know it sounds like same style as new games, but it's like classics. With Bonus levels, Skull Routes (with different music, unlike in Wrath of Cortex), Crystals, gems and relics. But the levels are darker, not so full of happiness =P

This just goes to show just how good the old Crash music really was. It's a shame hardware limitations made such a thing impossible, and a further shame that modern day music is a lot more subtle, and users synths a lot less, as this is a brilliant synthesizer piece, and really shows what the instrument can do when done well.

After Crash Team Racing, Naughty Dog sold him off so they could work on the Jak & Daxter series for the PS2. Where did Crash go? All sorts of companies made games of him. Whether or not those games were good or not is up to you. o_O

Naughty Dog has NEVER owned Crash. Universal interactive owned him in 1996-2005. Naughty Dog was only develoing the games, and everything they had created instantly became property of Universal Interactive. ND had a four year contract with UI and when It ended, Universal hired another company to work with Crash.

I like both tones, but you see the differences between the original and the one used in the game.

The original has more 'cortex' in it (The bass used in the cortex-themes is mixed in this song.) The new one not. But they are both awesome :D Pity I could never reach these levels when I was young... :(

The composer sent it to me. Since he commented on another video that his Crash music "suffers" in the actual game, I asked if I could hear the originals, and he let me pick 2 soundtracks, so I picked 2 of my favourites and uploaded them to Youtube so that everyone could hear them (it seems like everyone can hear the difference too).

If there was a Crash Bandicoot 1/2/3/CTR original soundtrack album, I'd buy it, like, immediately.

I find it more difficult to hear the french horn in this version than the 'compressed' version. I like the compressed version's sound patches more as well, they seemed to fit together better. I like listening to this version though because then I can hear the different parts with more clarity
