They should just reboot the entire story in a new game. Just call it Shenmue again and let the player play through the Japan and China segment, entirely build from the ground up! Then add the part that was supposed to be Shenmue 3 and everybody is happy! :D

why not just repackage and re release the games. A great example of this is the resident evil series, and this includes the live action movies too. those games have done very well, but the way capcom makes money is by selling it over and over again. if yu suzuki just did the same think of where he could go with this. it's been too long and the fans await the third installment

Apparently DC games are coming to PSN soon. If it's true, Shenmue could be available for download. If it gets a lot of exposure/popularity it may send Sega the signal to finally start on III.

Please check out Ockman27 who has recently published three full length live action movies of Shenmue and the third is the original imagining of the story conclusion. Fan movie done with excellent acting and direction and camerawork, not to be missed fan movie with humour and excitment and hollywood special effects too. All the main Shenmue characters interact in this funny and nostalgic epic.
I just did the Japanese magazine Maitsuki bought, and there is inside that sega shenmue 3 will publish. shenmue 3 is scheduled for February 2010, in the usual manner Dreamcast exclusive for the Playstation 3, SEGA SONY together with work on this project. There has been a 3rd game of shenmue for the dreamcast, and that one is based in japan, they would of made the other 2-3 games but the dreamcast games werent being made or sold anymore

Shenmue was a good game overall, but I remember how disappointed I was with the graphic when I first laid eyes on them. I was expecting something absolutely mind blowing because of all of the hype surrounding the game; it lacked in this department. Case in point: The motorcycle ride with Ryo and Nozomi. Utter crap.

can you make a video of some of the greatest QTE failures? I think the best two were when he gets headbutted 3 times by goro at the harbor or when he gets the shit knocked outa him with a pipe and his face cut with a razor by the 2 high school girls LOLOL PRICELESS

Yakuza sucks man. It's a good game, but it will NEVER catch up to Shenmue. Shenmue has an awesome storyline and it will live forever!

This is the best _fighting_ scenes,
not best scenes.IMO there are so many beutiful/touching scenes in this game that is even better then the fighting ones.

Shenmue was a good game overall, but I remember how disappointed I was with the graphic when I first laid eyes on them. I was expecting something absolutely mind blowing because of all of the hype surrounding the game; it lacked in this department. Case in point: The motorcycle ride with Ryo and Nozomi. Utter crap.
