  • God I miss James Hunt and all of his kind on live TV.

In a world of such political correctness........... we need someone like him around.

  • that was hunt all over!! straight from the hip!!! classic!!!

  • Classic retort hahaha! :D

  • Since when is bullshit swearing ?

  • Repeatadly press 8 to hear James Hunt repeat "shit" lol.

  • I miss james hunt !

  • James hunt rocks!

  • Comment removed

  • You can just imagine Murray Walker's reaction right after he said it haha

  • LOLOLOLOL, ahh what a legend

  • So anyway...

  • Love it, speak your mind, be honest...

  • lmao,classic

  • Brilliant!!!!

Made even better by Murray pretending James never said it by carrying on like nothing happened!! LOL

  • "Well all I can say is that's bullshit"...what a bloody legend!

  • this is what tv should be like now. no, not full of overused profanity like it is, in the sake of humour, but a bit of honesty now and again. Nowdays he would have been fined £200,000 and a big song and dance made by a few hundred do-gooders calling for his resegnation while 'comedians' are allowed to insult the disabled or say what they darn well like

  • Priceless! Thank god for someone who had the balls to climb of the commercial fence and speak his mind for once. Ha ha ha.

  • "And all I can say is that is bullshit."

  • James hunt "bullshit" Murray walker "anyway"

  • Fantastic.

What's happened to that level of honesty these days???

  • I can imagine James Hunt sitting across from Murray Walker Scotch & Soda in one hand cigarette in the other saying, absolute legend and playboy what F1 is sorely missing today...by the way dont forget the movie RUSH out next yr about him and Nikki Lauda

  • @TRANSAM19777 Well personally I prefer great drivers, not self absorbed mannerless playboys.

Although Hunt seems to have been great commentator, despite his foolhardy behaviour.

Unfortunately I only started following F1 in 1993 shortly after he died.

  • Swearing... hardly. 4 years earlier Bob Geldof said on live aid "Let's f**k the address, lets get to the numbers".

Nobody batted an eyelid. Then BBC got all sniffy because "somebody" complained, except that their were more complaints about the sounds quality of the broadcast than his expletive.

  • and all i can say to that is bullshit.

  • Awesome! James Hunt was right - slow because you're used to turbo? Come on.

  • The rudest commentator in the world...

  • Absolutely hilarious!!!

  • Rest in Peace James.

  • Wait, are you sure the question wasn't = ' In 23 years fans will have to pay to watch f1'

  • My response to most things nowadays.

    James Hunt, what a legend!

  • James Hunt and Murray Walker brilliant duo . Best commentators on F1 ever.

  • Lol...James Hunt is sorely missed

  • ah yes. we need someone like james hunt today. i just love how he called things as he saw them

  • love it how he says it so nonchanlantley

  • The fact that J.H died from such a stupid cause was bullshit.

  • Rene Arnoux is like the parallel of Jason Plato

  • What a legend James Hunt was, in so many ways.

  • Well Arnoux was really doing stupid things when someone lapped him...I hate that he took my favorite driver Gerhard Berger out in Australia...but this I think is related to the days when Prost and Arnoux were teammates in Renault and when Arnoux failed to let Prost win the race...

  • So anyway.....

  • LOL James Hunt telling it like it is!

  • since when was bullshit swearing. I mean fuck me... LOL

  • @mr1000rx I mean, really, what sort of cunt is offended by the word 'bullshit'?

  • @l228spn too true.

  • @l228spn Rene arnoux

  • Liberals prolly don't watch f1 its an intelligent mans sport :D

  • The liberals of today would have him grovelling with an apology. he would probably have to go on Oprah and have a cry and a hug then write a news article about it.

  • @northernsoul44 too true

  • @northernsoul44

    LMAO...so true it is sad.

  • @northernsoul44 @ arearegoodguy The conservatives would have profiled Lewis Hamilton (or Oprah!) on race, Schumacher on his nationality, Coulthard on his accent, Hill on his kids disability... Stop talking shite, he swore on a busy tv show which was inappropriate, his charisma got him off the hook. Coulthard was right to apologise after his outburst in Melbourne three years ago.

  • @LargsThistle1994 Whilst I agree it was inappropriate to swear on a TV broadcast, the truth is there are much worse things that happen in F1 e.g. Watching Luciano Burti going into the barriers at Blanchimont in 2001 and hoping he hasn't died as a result

  • would you stop discussing politics and political systems, this is a video about formula 1 for gods sake!

  • Comment removed

  • Brilliant, old school commentary you cant beat it.

  • We may never see the likes of James Hunt again.

  • @zionravescene well considering he died in 1993 the chances are very slim...

  • Wonder what his brother mike would have thought.

  • Lool brilliant

  • James Hunt = leg end!

    100% Leg end! XD

  • Class and very honest view from James lol

  • Brilliant.

  • roflol!

  • "a whole different kettle of fish to drive" ... oh Murray

  • So funny ! Best commentating duo ever . F1 was really exciting at this time and their commentary was really entertaining.

  • Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. James, I'm with you, bullshit. There's my opinion!

  • roflmao, superb, bullshit indeed.

  • thumbs up if Top Gear Our top 20 YouTube car clips brought you here!

  • @tequillawithlemon GET A LIFE YOU THUMBS UP WHORE

  • @natsprat666 get some respect you uneducated man

  • @tequillawithlemon Thumbs down for saying "Thumbs up"

  • @Darkapprentice71 You cannot criticise James for not being transparent. At least he was prepared to speak his mind and as such you knew where you stood with him as opposed to being two faced; which I despise. Further, I have to say 98% of the time he was right!

  • @sonicstep What? I didn't criticise Hunt, I criticised the thumbs up whore.

  • @Darkapprentice71 Alright, fair enough. My apologies for misunderstanding.

  • @sonicstep It's okai :)

  • Well i'm very offended. Having just heard this for the first time, i hope the BBC will now publicly denounce James Hunt and give him a posthumous bollocking and make sure the papers also get on board with the bandwagan of moaning at a popular figure.

  • @Jonnymechanic Awww. Muppet.

  • @cubeyuk does nobody recognise sarcasm anymore?

  • @Jonnymechanic Yes, if only he hadn't died 20 years ago - hell, why does that matter, it's all good grist for the media mill.

  • @Jonnymechanic does nobody recognise sarcasm anymore?

  • if this was nowwa days he would swear in the race and apologise the next day and then some old grannys would listen to see what he said and then complain to the bbc that it offended them and hunt would get sacked. people these days need to get a grip

  • @l0dgey This is known as liberlism its shit. They are also trying to get rid of natural selection as it is not liberal enough for them.

  • @northernsoul44 @northernsoul44 woah absolute fucking nonsense mate. The complaining and bitching and letter writing all comes from the right, not the left. Liberals don't give a shit if you swear, just don't be racist. Only morons care about swearing. The Daily Mail, The Telegraph, and all Murdoch publications are the ones who would get uppity about this. Liberalism is doing whatever you like as long as it doesn't impeach on others doing what they like, so swearing is fine

  • @frusciante39 The liberals would not let you go out after 7pm if they could get away with it. It is called liberal fascism. They have a new rule created every other day.

  • @northernsoul44 that's not liberal fascism, liberal fascism is when a liberal refuses to allow non-liberal views to be aired, like how Nazi-related politics are banned in Germany. I'm a liberal, and what you're saying bears no relation to anything I've ever even heard. Think of what the word means mate, outside of politics, liberal. Letting people do what they like. What makes you think that? Are you saying that because liberals don't like bigotry that they don't like anything?

  • @northernsoul44 You have totally missed the point. Liberals are 'LIBERAL' believe it or not (!). They believe in less rules and letting the human race live as they want as long as you are not hurting anyone. Conservatives believe you need rules and harsh punishment as if man is left to do his 'thing' he might do something 'bad'. Swearing is far more likely in a liberal group than Conservative.

  • @Xiolablu3 HAHAHA ... I love winding up trolls ... here a cookie on me !.

  • @northernsoul44 Winding up trolls?? I think you will find that you are the troll when you finally work out what a troll actually is. 'I love winding people up and being a troll' would be the correct response. ;)

  • Well said, James.

  • WORD!!!

  • Murray's reaction... priceless!

  • so, anyway...

  • Absolutely priceless! I echo the abiove comment about Hunt Being missed in this day and age of PC pre-programmed automaton drivers.

  • Lmao good old shunt speaks what we think

  • Classic Hunt that, never took any shit did thee on or off the track.A few marshall's who he chinned to the deck could back this claim.

  • Before the days of bleeping out swear words on live television, there was James Hunt....

  • bullshit

  • Why on earth did Walker ever attain this mass hysterical respect/national treasure status, etc..... He was an exciting guy, yeah but he knew very little about the actual driving and engineering side of racing

  • @tstanb The important thing about him was that he made you care even if you didn't know your way around all of the technical stuff. That's why most people tend to talk about him paired with someone else, like Walker and Hunt or Walker and Brundle. You needed a more technically experienced person to fill in the gaps.

However, by himself Walker sounded accessible, and that's all someone really cares about if they're not totally committed fans. You don't want to make viewers feel uncomfortable.

  • @RRVCrinale fair enough!

  • HUNT: I really like Riccardo Patrese, i think he's a brilliant driver.

MURRAY: And all i can say to that is bullshit.

  • This is probably what would happen if Kimi ever got into F1 commentary...

  • I love Murray.

Hunt: All I can say is bullshit

Murray: (Pause) So anyway, here goes Arneaux...

  • . . . we sure miss James these days. He was always there to correct Murray during the race broadcast.

  • Hunt the Shunt.....what a legend, lol!

  • Hunt: so apparently people say the reason im so fast these days is because im simply the best. I say.

Murray: and all i can say to that is bullsh!t

  • James Hunt is a legend -

  • Lmaoo :D

  • bullshit hahahaha

  • lmao, fantastic.

  • ....sooooooo.... anyway.......

  • Morons commenting on this video aside dang funny!!!

  • @edd55r I completely agree mate. The worst thing is when you can tell that Brundel has something to say, which is usually quite interesting. But that stupid, annoying, useless Leggard just won't shut up.

  • @edd55r better that Charlie Cox,

love the tone of voice he uses.

  • LOL! Ah! Thats Just sooooo Great LOL!

  • Just watched this again you have got to love James Hunt he said what he thought and he he thought that Arnox (not sure on the spelling of that) was talking bullshit brilliant!

Will always miss James as now what have we got Jonathan bloody Leggard!!

  • @edd55r Actually Martin Brundle replaced James Hunt when Hunt didn't show up one day. Jonathan Legard is the replacement for Murray Walker. Brundle + Hunt are both drivers and that's why they are better at commentating.

Walker and Legard are both normal members of the public and that's the format that has always been with the bbc's coverage of F1 1 driver 1guy. So please stop comparing legard to brundle and hunt. Walker is the yard stick for legard and yes he's not as good BUT NEITHER ARE YOU!

  • @QuiteDrunkOnGin yes thankyou for sharing your vast knowledge with me shame you misunderstood what I was saying! I know full well how the BBC commentary team works! And where have you got that from that martin brundel replaced hunt when he didn't show up? Hunt was replaced by johnathan Palmer when James died! If your going to get your facts of the Internet don't use wickipedia! The fact remains that leggard IMO is a rubbish commentator!!

  • Lol

  • Comments below are you serious? johnathan leggard is the most annoying F1 commentater there's ever been!! he just rambles on and on and on can't stand the guy! I would listen to the 5 live feed but like Martin Brundel so put up with leggard to hear Brundel!!

  • Great Commentator, but still a way to go before he can touch Jonathan Legard.

  • @NikonSanz dont talk sillyness

  • @bufferbridge are you serious? Legard's commentary is amazing, it feels like you are in the car with the driver. Here is an example. /watch?v=iSbjlxwwyPI

  • sooo anyway there goes....

What a combo hunt and walker were. We miss you james.

  • classic!

  • One person finds James Hunt bullshit. All I can say to that is bullshit!

  • I loved james hunt. But i always felt he had a problem with patrese because he feels patrese contributed to him crashing into peterson and causing his death

  • ha h ha ha hah

James Hunt, one in a million.

    Much love

  • James Hunt what a personality. Most of those gp drivers were and are as dull as dish water, not James. Oh and as for Murry Walker, the man is a legend and will never be bettered in the commentry box.

  • James was one of my racing heroes. I only wished he had raced in America more. He would have done great at the Indianapolis 500.

  • I would pay a lot of money to see the look on Murray's face when he heard James say "bullshit"! James is THE man!!

  • Oh, So thats why hunt died of a HART attack

  • @mat2000100 heart not hart

  • @DANATRINGWOOD i spelt it that way in ference to those crappy hartpower engines back then

  • So, anyway...

  • So, annyway...

  • thats bloody brilliant

  • You have to wonder how well James would fit in in today's corprorate/sponsor world of F1. Not very well I expect, which is good on James!!

  • fucking hilarious

  • miss him alot

  • James Hunt once said, live in commentary "The trouble with Jarier is he's a French wanker, always was & always will be"

  • it's like murray didn't even notice.

  • great days !!!!!

  • haa brilliant, drivers always making up bull shit

  • A classic James Hunt moment! They sure as hell don't make them like that anymore. Have a huge framed pic of him on my lounge wall, sitting on the side of his car holding a beer, a cig and a playboy bunny girl after winning the U.S Grand Prix. Legend.

  • Not only funny but it was true!

  • james hunt mad for his hole, legend :)

  • so....anyway hahaha

  • "And all I can say to that is bullshit."

"So, anyway, there goes René Arnoux in the Ford powered Ligier"

Fantastic.........you wouldn't get that from Legard and Brundle.

  • @heliumtrophy Yeah but Brundle commentating with Murray was every bit as funny. Murray usually was overexcited while Brundle tried to calm him down with his deadpan voice. It always made me laugh so hard I wished the commercial breaks would come so I could recover!!

  • @starlionblue Brundle was probably worried Murray would have a heart attack.......tell you what's cracking me up is when Brundle bumps into Tanya while she's interviewing one of the German drivers for German TV. There's more chemistry between them two than Adrian Chiles and Christine Bleakley put together.

  • Brundle would probably do the role of Murray in this situation because he is a legend lol Legard however, is not.

  • @SerialKIillerrr I don't doubt that for a second. I think they should let Brundle cover the whole race by himself but of course he'll want to get his pal/protégé Coulthard up there in the box with him.

  • @heliumtrophy yeh, i think they make a good commentary team, when Brundle is more experienced as the #1 role as commentator he'll be really awesome! He's already good now for sure, but after being the #2 commentator for 13 years or so it mustn't be easy to adapt quickly :P

  • @SerialKIillerrr Yeah I think so too that is if the BBC stick with the F1. The only real gripe I have over the coverage is Eddie Jordan. Take that out of the mix and everything'll be fine.

  • @heliumtrophy lol, i don't have a problem with anyone on the BBC, i hope it keeps it too but i haven't looked into the situation or anything myself. My brother hates Jake Humphrey because he used to do children's TV stuff (CBBC) and he thinks F1 is too good for an ex-CBBC presenter haha

  • lolz that doest look powerful enough compare with coulthard calling massa "little bastard" in the aussie gp few years ago after being taken out of the race haha

  • Muahahaha- that is as legendary as John McEnroe. 'You cannot be serious!!!'

  • Absolute legend :)

Murray Walker and James Hunt=best motor racing commentary duo ever!

  • Hahaha!

  • James Hunt made F1 worth watching - and I love how Murray just used to ignore him when he came out with these gems. A rare man.

  • you're all wrong Jim Clark was and always will be number 1 (in terms of brits)

whatever he raced (F1, F2, touring cars, even bangers) he won in and made the rest look like they were being driven round by their mummies

dont get me wrong Hunt is a legend i miss him and this vid is EPIC

  • you have to love it

  • "and anyway there goes..."

haha...keeping calm and collected there murrary :L

    quality stuff

  • @LeeDH22 i know what you mean, but James did clean his act up before his untimely death, i still remember the "he can't be" shock i got when i was told of his death.

  • hahahaha

  • legend. nothing less

  • Rest In Peace James Hunt.... you're simply the best..... :)

  • he gets straight to the point! what a total legend!!

  • James apparently never reported to the Monaco Grand Prix sober

  • @billabongodrum wait, he actually WAS drunk when he said that???? on TV??? THATS AWESOME!!!!!!!

  • I don't think he reported to ANY track sober!

  • So, anyway.......

    LO fuckin L

  • F1 needs another Hunt. As opposed to the Button and Hamilton robots. Hunt was an outrageous man, but most peoples favourite world champion.

  • @Hasselnorris

I'd say Sir Jackie is no.1

  • "so, anyway.." haha!

  • Fuckin classic. Love it, also love Murrays shrug off attempt, although you kinda get the impression he agreed with James Hunt anyway.
