@cyclance1 There is a noticeable difference between bird shot (avg. 1200fps) and a rifled slug (avg. 1600fps). 10 rnds. of 1oz. slugs will leave your shoulder a bit raw. There are also 3" mag slugs that are up to 2000fps.
Dude don`t shy from your gun put more weight on your leading foot, lean forward, cheek firm on the stock not tight. gently breath out as you squeeze the trigger don`t pull.
@SoccerDJRob I think it varies depending on location and what the situation is.. Its probably left up to the individual precincts as to what ammo they use. I'm not sure if there are state or federal standards for that kind of thing
I just bought the NEF Pardner Protector 12 Gauge pump. I took it to the Range and fored OO Buck,7 Bird Shot and Slugs but the Butt Kicker was the 3" Magnum #4 Buck shot. Man I was sore at work the next day for sure.
Try LEANING INTO it when your aligning your sights and squeeze S L O W ! Its a nice gun.
Hey smarty pants, semi automatics and fully automatics have less recoil per shot than any other type of action, they use the recoil to eject the shells. The only reason it feels like more is because your putting a shit ton of rounds downrange in a short period of time.
In my opinion, though, shotguns that kick a bit less a bit better. I like a gun you can shoot as a past time, yet still get some power from it, but not too much.
Yea I really like it, its a really light gun though so it kicks pretty bad with buck or slugs. Our shoulders were black and blue after going through a box of Winchester Super X slugs...
