We hear them being mentioned but does anything else happen? We need real justice in our homeland. Why was he appointed in the first place? we have good people who can do his job, but also note; for you to hide something you need this kind and not Githongo type.
I am still wondering why we insist on these guys resigning now baptized stepping aside. Have any of them ever been taken to prison? Or are there kenyans that are not prison compatible. Where is the truth and justice these people are talking about if someone is killed and there is no truth for decades. Hawa wazee ndio wameharibu Kenya.
Mr. Kiplagat must step aside to clear the way forward for reconcilliation. Several things are against you including the murder of Robert Ouko your boss back in the day and land grabbing including the Mau and parts of Nairobi. Kenya moja!
Samuel Mwana wa kivuitu caused many problems for kenyans and his tenure will never go down well for the future. However, he might be a celebrity in some quaters for denying Odinga a very important seat.
@freegastanker1@freegastanker1 And how exactly has Kivuitu's action to steal the election for Kibaki helped Kenya? I really want to see who these people are that consider Kivuitu a celebrity?
Mr. Kiplagat, anybody can win any court case even an unwinnable one. But the Truth Justice and Reconciliation MUST be differentiated from the courts. The TJRC MUST offer redress that Kenyans can never get in Kenyan Courts. The TJRC is an alternative to the Courts. Whatever the verdict of the courts regarding your legibility to lead TJRC, morally you are not fit to lead the TJRC. This is why you MUST resign. Thus, whereas as Kenyan courts are manipulatable the TJRC MUST remain immanipulatable.
What is the Agenda of this man why has he refused to quit? Who does he want to cover up for is it Kibaki or Moi ? We know that all the ills done to Kenyans were done when Kibaki was the VP and Moi the President. The torture, Killings, Detention without Trial, Wagalla massacre etc. You cannot separate Kibaki from Moi.
@siasabora coup d'état is a necessary evil that societies under dictatorship and retarded leadership needs from time to time for liberation of the oppressed population.
@siasabora He recently claimed that Raila brought rain in Kenya because he restored the Mau, but scholarship is in agreement that it will take atleast 40 years to restore the area as a water tower. So I am certainly not suprised when if Raila robs a bank it will still be for the good of the country. We need to be reasonable in these things.
I think it is time that somebody stands up against this bad tide that is rising in Kenya where people are politiking and asking others to resign. He should stay put, this guy was an international businessman, chaired Somali peace process, and even helped the Nairobi Stock Exchange, Viva Kiplagat. Stay put, otherwise that thing was not to give us milk and honey we can do without if you have to go, there is no one who will not be shot down by NGOs
Whats the point of holding on when the people are not ready to listen to you? you should know better Mr. Kiplagat, and going by your closing statements am sure you feel the paramount need to server kenyans but the same people have raise the red card so please save us time and money and just step down this is not an issue you can circumvent.
@sithnay: What has Desmond Tutu against a Kenyan local community? Bishop Humper of Sirre Leone? Febres of Peru, South America? Coast participants staging walk outs? Who in their right minds would want engage Tutu in arguments of Human Rights or democracy? The old man is a world legend..Kiplangat must now swallow his pride and stop the RV arrogance!
Mr. Kiplangat, while you run around in courts to clear your name of any wrong doing (it's your human right) also respect the Kenyans right to the process of Peace and Reconciliation by stepping aside. Chairing the peace process is NOT a human right, it is a privilege bestowed you by Kenyans. The Country comes First, not an individual!
