The President retires with $7Milllion? All Republician senate gets a big raise the past 2 years 2009 2010 and up coming 2011 with pork on the table. The feds get nothing for there work. Politics ran us all out of gas. Business?
This was a very effective ad, with a person who looked (somewhat) like Tip O'Neill. I'm a Democrat, but have to give credit where credit was due... it was political genius.
It's amazing how litlle has changed in politics, just interchange the party in charge for each election cycle. The guys in charge are worthless - Vote for change!
Another, more well known campaign ad from 1980, featuring unemployed worker James 'Bruzzy' Willders, ended with the line 'Let's get America working again. Vote Republican, for a change'. That ad is on YouTube (albeit in poor quality) as part of a programme about political ads called 'And if i'm elected'. They must have made a series of ads that ended with that tagline.
Liars liars liars - it doesn't mattr who the messenger is, politicians and the advertising agencies they hire are all a bunch of f**king liars!

@ceredigio Good to know, I figured that this ad campaign was used extensively around this time amidst what an administration Carter was.
