  • Aren't you supposed to hold the trumpet parallel to the floor instead of pointing at it to get a better sound?

  • interesting how much time they spent on th simplest part of the trumpet and no time on the rest of the complex inner workings

  • watch this and then watch making of a trumpet this one is a girl and the other one is a girl

  • I was holding my trumpet while I was watching this, and I kept looking back and forth at the screen and my trumpet.

  • thumbs up if you play the trumpet.

  • this is cool

  • How long dose it take

  • trumpets rock!!!

  • @COOKIESAREWILDful i play one!

  • I knew that was the Getzen from the start. Not sure how, but I knew. lol. Have three of them hanging on my wall and two more in the closet. :P

  • I am so gonna try freezing soapy water now.

  • I reeeealy wanted to play the flute for 5th grade but no it wpuld cost tp much money and i had to get a hand-me-down trumpet and now a couple weeks ago mu grandma found 2 flutes and i had to pick 1 and i love ot soooooooooo much but i have to get used to note changes lol

  • @cheyenne4evergaard flutes r hard to learn but i play the flute and it was hard at first but now its easy :)

  • @cheyenne4evergaard hope your having fun :)

  • @cheyenne4evergaard should have bought one off of ebay thats used and will let u return it if u dont like it.....i did that with my trumppet

  • what's with the pronunciation of "solder"??? sodder???

  • Turn on transcribed audio and go to 2:35

  • @MTastatnhgevv xDDDD

  • hi people! im a clarinet originally but i also know how to play trumpet french horn oboe baritone and i know some percussion things. second year clarinet and first year everything else. im best at trumoet second from my clarinet. i just wanna try all instruments because i love band and music from my soul.

  • @peepzstar So... you're a clarinet? How exactly does a clarinet play the trumpet? What I really want to know is, how does a clarinet post an entry on YouTube?

  • @mrfester42 lol mAJOR. I MEAN MY ORIGINAL INSTRUMENT IS A CLARINET AND I PLAY THE TRUMPET AS MY SECOND.

  • "This is one company that likes to blow its own horn."

THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID! Horn, you perverts. Get your minds out of the gutter. =P

  • O_O .... woooow and that spinning bell would cut my arm!!

  • I play the flute, but can play a few notes on trumpet, kinda badly though..

  • @HarryPottersGinny1 Yeah, I play cello. It seems like trumpets are one of those instruments that are god-awful unless you're a musical prodigy. Kinda like violins.

  • @C3P0meetsData Nooo a trumpet is awesome to listen to! i just love it!!! and it's the best instrument of them al XD !

  • @C3P0meetsData not really im not some kinda prodigy im just pretty good and i sound alright

  • @HarryPottersGinny1 Lol yeah. I could've played saxaphone but I already owned a flute so I decided that.

But I wanted to do percussion...not anymore though. Oh but I also tryed french horn but I couldn't buzz.

  • i play trumpet in my school band

    LOVE IT!!!!!

  • clarinet is better

  • im maybey going to play one off these :)

  • lool, one slide has a "finger ring" for holding the trumpet XD

  • @bruteforce76 Bach is even better

  • trumpets are made from sheets of medal - USUALLY BRASS...

  • "One slide has a finger ring - FOR HOLDING THE TRUMPET"

    lol

  • thats cool nut i thought they will show more like the valves and such but who cares its still cool

  • Getzen makes awesome horns

  • I just purchsed my first Getzen. A 3850 Custom Cornet and I love it.

  • The ring... isn't really made to hold the trumpet in my opinion... You can hold it fine without it. It's really so you can push it in and out with your ring finger for tuning purposes

  • damn!! that was really really awesome!!

  • I totallly knew it was a getzen before the showed the logo..

    getzens are shittt

  • wow 4 mins on how a fricken trumpet bell is made and then only a min for the rest of the parts are made.

  • wtf is she on about sawder? next it'l be made out of aloominum r something. One slide has a finger ring: for holding the trumpet. my arse. whoever made this should be sacked

  • @Pendor42 It's solder. It's a flexible metal alloy that has a low melting point (significantly lower than the metals you are trying to join).

  • @unharmonyx i know what it is lol also know what it's called was just trolling their goofy pronunciation :)

  • Trumpets? Made of Brass? Did not know that.

  • yea thats bull they didnt show how the valves were made

  • How much does a really nice trumpet tend to cost generally? I'm just curious. When I heard some nice flutes can cost up to 48 grand my jaw dropped, but then again they can make them out of gold, silver, or platinum... So it's understandable I guess.

Anyway back to the point, anyone know how much a nice trumpet would cost??

  • @Havixus The most expensive regular trumpet (No gold or diamond or any that stuff) was $6000. Probably those super fancy and quality ones are like $10,000.

    Flutes are really expensive.

  • @Heavy645 ya they are

  • @Havixus you can get really nice antique ones for cheap on ebay but their generally poorly maintained. the well looked after ones are bloody expensive

  • i love my Stradivarius i highly recommended it

  • Getzen Trombones work really well. They are great instruments. I have been very happy with mine.

  • @clutzycoach i play a getzen trombone!

  • I agree with game man I'm 4th chair playin a Bach stradavarious extremely fine trumpet

  • i remeber the first time i played my trumpet and i was in 8th chair now im in 2nd

  • It's "Stradivarius".

  • it doesnt matter ho you spell it as long as people get it

  • Zing!

  • my fav instrument :) my only con to it is the top ring where ur pinky goes, after playing for 5 years it has kind of bent my pinky and it restrains some movement and flexibility

  • Music stores in St. Louis will not sell these trumpets because they are so poorly made. The workmanship is very shoddy.

  • wow this is neat! I play on a getzen there great horns!

  • Nice video but it doesn't explain the most interesting part: how the pistons are made...

  • I play trumpet but going for trombone next week. too hard to memorize valve moments.

  • man, i wish they'd do a segment on a french horn or a saxophone. that'd be really interesting

  • @blewnuts they did french horn

  • Same here

  • Same here

  • I wanted to play the trumpet but I changed my mine and choose flute

  • UNC and MAjin. HOw can it be made from the valve tree or valve bush. It's wood, the trumpet is ALL metal.

  • I as a trumpet player often wonder how it is made so I am glad I saw this video.

  • my getzen trumpet SUCKS

  • really? because i have a silver Getzen Capri and it plays really nicely for concert band. I am in the process of getting an old frank Holton trumpet restored too though. What model is your trumpet?

  • i have a 300 series, but its a peice of crap. i bought it "new" with replacement parts on it, and since i got it, about 13 years ago, the first valve has been bent, ive gotten it fixed but it keeps going back to being bent, i thought it was my playing, but my Xeno doesnt have that problem...

  • okay.... and i guess valves are made from the valve tree or something?

  • no, it's the valve bush

  • I was wondering the same thing. I wanted to see their construction as well as the bell.

  • I play flute but I have an old trumpet =D

  • add me if u play the trumpet or trombone i play the trombone!

  • I wonder how they make strad's, I have a hard time believing that they make them the same way.

  • This is actually the strad factory from what I saw on TV.

  • I play flute but I have attempted a trumpet once, it was pretty fun

  • I really wish they would have gone into more depth on how the valves/slides were made.

But it was still really interesting.

    Yay trumpets!

  • its amazing to see what I use everyday in school being made :))

  • The Illuminati aka blueblood scum like Rothschilds, Warburgs, Windsors, Al Gore, Al Pike, Putin etc rule Freemasonry. They'll probably start WW3, force-vaccinate many in Fall, implement Codex Alimentarius and stage an alien invasion to get a fascist world government with us microchipped, so resist! Support Oracle Broadcasting, Dr. Deagle, David Icke & Project Camelot!

  • dude just stop talking what you said doesn't ever pretain to what the vids about

  • @elevatorxmuzik Six non ... It is 8 ... (-_-)

  • This is one company that likes to blow it's own horn.

  • if one trumpet takes that long, i cant imagine how they get anything done...

  • They have assembly lines, speeds it up.

  • good things take time! :D

  • I Love the trumpet screw the trombone

  • hecks yeaaah

  • trumpet owns

  • this video should be called "how it's made - trumpet bell"

  • @chaz76vette For truth. There are 3 dozen videos of how bells are produced on Youtube. The Internets (tm) demand a video on how pistons and valve casings are made!

  • @chaz76vette there's a video called how is a trumpet made were it shows how the valves are made heres the link ?v=ksFdnAps4M0

  • trumpets suck

    trombones are awesome

  • They're fine, although I do prefer the Trombone.

  • trombones are not az amazazing as trumpets O__O

  • Damn man, grow up....I'm pretty sure you know what they mean. By the way, Getzen instruments are high quality, good for almost any player.

  • LOLOLOLOLOL ''..who likes to blow their own horn'' ROFL THATS WHAT SHE SAID

  • LMFAO

  • I wonder how much money would it have to make hand made.........

  • ya like im goin to beleive a retarded asshole like u

  • Man no wonder instruments are expensive, it takes a while to make them and machines cant make.

  • the factory-made ones are made by machines. these are personalized instruments

  • coool

  • i imaginated something diferent
