Argh!! I LOVED these! Always wished I could remember what the show was called. All I could remember was that it was Baldrick telling weird stories lol
Yet to be released on DVD, but there's always hope. That wonderful series from years ago, 'Turtle's Progress' was recently re-released for a short time and another classic, 'Chelmsford 123' has also appeared on DVD. So, you never know - 'Tulip' may go the same way. Here's hoping.
I loved this show as a child, and was hoping to ask if it would be possible for u to put as many of these episodes on to disk for me, i would gratefully pay a small fee if required too. i would do it myself, but i have no knowledge of how to. thank u for sharing them -i have told many people over the years about this much loved fave of mine, no one had heard of it and i was staring to feel like everyone thought i was mad and no one believed it even existed!!-
This is a real classic! Tony Robinson is such a talented storyteller and the way he tells the story is fantastic! The characters are really interesting - two frogs called Ernie and Sylv...
Could not remember what this show was called but remembered Tony Robinsons was in it so after a few searches here it is and this is the exact episode what i remember.
Ahhh, us kids loved this in it's day encouraged us to go exploring and roll around in dirty mud in the garden. Or was that just me..?! I like how he's not telling the story in the patronising tone kid's presenters speak these days.
I had a flash back of this show the other day but couldn't for the life of me remember the name it! A couple of IMDB searches later, here I am!
This had to be the most imaginiatve show ever! I used to have it on video and although seeing it at least 10 times I still can't keep up with what's going on! I want to elope with the person who upped it, no idea how you found it.
OMG.. I have been trying to remember the name of this show for YEARS, and then I thought I could always just Wiki Tony Robinson's name... which bought me here!
Thank you so much for giving me the chance to re-live these childhood classics! They're even better than I remembered them as a child.
this show was great! i wish they still made interesting kids shows like this...It always kinda made me feel a bit sick though watching it, i dont know why, maybe the mud?:S i miss all those old shows, especially good sooty with matthew in it.
It's funny the number of people who have been looking for this for years. Used to watch this during the early 90s. For some reason, I thought it really weird and something about it used to freak me out a bit (don't ask me what). Thanks for posting this, as now I know the name of this great old show.
Brilliant!!!! Tony Robinson best person for this show, he really brought things to life with his unique style of story telling. I have had the privilege of meeting Tony Robinson and he said there are no plans to release Fat Tulip's Garden on DVD shame that I'd love to own them all.
i just remembered this show a couple of days ago. I used to watch it growing up. It took us quite a while but Mum & finally remembered what it's called FAT TULIP!
NICE ONE. i have been looking for this for so many yars. lost the auctin in ebay. i was sure it had a different theme tune. however the end tune is still pretty cool. please post more. any chance of purchasing a disc??
For some reason, the "pwop" at the end used to frighten me. I seem to remember him saying it a lot louder than that. Ah well, I was probably just a wussy kid
