very pretty, what a great idea to use a desk/shelf unit in that way. Gives me a lot of ideas for putting furniture and shelves together, or even using an old desk or hutch as an altar space for interesting layouts. I also like that you have used mostly regular household types of items as your tools and decorative objects. Very warm and inviting, and in the spirit of the season.

You know how people get annoyed because christmas has become commercialised well its the same thing. If you have a really showy alter (PS i still love this one) it could be like your just trying to convince yourself that the more you do the better it will be. I belive in alot simpler rituals but thats mostly because my mom gets annoyed when we take up too much room to set up. simple representations work best for me. blessed be merry yule
