Great video, i have one of these, but i am having a problem, my shutter is not as fast as yours seems to be, even on the same settings displayed on your LCD. I press the shutter, you here a click, then a pause them another click. And on continuous shooting mode it is really slow. Do you know what i am doing wrong?
Yes, on my video I cranked up the shutters speed to demonstrate the power. However though, this would not be useful for taking pictures because obviously in those conditions, your pictures would be too dark. Try aim the camera at more light and also lock your focus or do manual focusing.
I love that camera. Expect it in the next few days in my hands. By the way, what is the song that plays in the background? I've long wanted to know what it is. Thanks
My D5000 never releases this fast, it always has to focus and then beeps before it will take a picture. What am I doing wrong? It is so frustrating, especially when I am mainly trying to photograph my two kids that don't hold still. Please HELP!!
It is not suppose to be all quiet. It reduces the noise of the shutter making it more quiet than the regular release sound. If it were completely quiet, it would take a very long time to take a picture and you would probably miss that "one and only" shot.
any idea how you can capture time lapse with this camera other than manually pressing the button every minute.?

Does quiet mode effect image quality?

@HatroVille No it will not. Just can't shoot as fast though.

Great video. I'm torn between the d5000 and the d90. Do you love the d5000?

That was someone playing the piano in the backround.

I thought the quiet mode is suppose to be quiet...as in the camera makes no sounds at all when taking a picture..
