Mate they ARE the best. Australian, British and New Zealand SAS are the best SF in the world, no argument. Most other SF like Delta Force and Navy Seals are based on the SAS.

just one comment... there is no doubt about it English soldiers are trained to a far better standard than american soldiers. @MrJelliebabies hey mate, same here im nrly 15 but it will be very veyr hard. I want to be a member of SBS personally so i may take navy then that route but still you have to serve atleats four years in the military and you have to get picked preferably but you could always ask before you join. other than that percentages dont really matter cos there changing everytime a unit holds a selection process, but yea most members of sf are former paras second most actually being the royal engineers then the royal marines but what most people dont get is that they all form under the same unit THE UKSF. the SAS are the main foundation for it all. air troop made up of airborne forces or members who have completed p comany. boat troop who are SNS and the SRR who are mobility troop and pathfinders

@totalyruben m8 trust me yor co's will only allow u to attend if uve passed an AAC.whats the use in sending sum1 to attend selection whos only ever done an 8 ile tab (the most a basic regiment will do) wen ur required to do 14 tabs well over the basic fitness levels starting at 12 miles ending at 30 miles over the worst terrain in the UK also been able to cross it at night with more weight than ever before.its physicaly imposible thats y u have to pass an AAC to show yor physicaly fit enuf

@totalyruben Yes, even the CO of your own unit can't stop you in the end. He can give his reconmendation though and normally you need to have done 3 years service by the time you attend a selection course.

@hantsman9313 age 16 i joined the parachute regiment and attended afc harrogate for a year.on completion i went to catterick for 14 weeks completing p company. at the age of 18 got sent to afghanistan on operational tour herrick 6. after finishing my 6 months tour i got chosen on reccomendation to attempt the royal marines all arms commando course, passing first time.i then completed the combat engineers course. after 3 years service got chosen on reccomendation for special forces selection

id also like to point out that everything the sas do is classified and it is very rare to see video footage of the SAS, people usually make the mistake of seeing the SBS as they are the same but not as secret. although all identitys in british special forces are unknown.

other than that percentages dont really matter cos there changing everytime a unit holds a selection process, but yea most members of sf are former paras second most actually being the royal engineers then the royal marines but what most people dont get is that they all form under the same unit THE UKSF. the SAS are the main foundation for it all. air troop made up of airborne forces or members who have completed p comany. boat troop who are SNS and the SRR who are mobility troop and pathfinders

@totalyruben m8 trust me yor co's will only allow u to attend if uve passed an AAC.whats the use in sending sum1 to attend selection whos only ever done an 8 ile tab (the most a basic regiment will do) wen ur required to do 14 tabs well over the basic fitness levels starting at 12 miles ending at 30 miles over the worst terrain in the UK also been able to cross it at night with more weight than ever before.its physicaly imposible thats y u have to pass an AAC to show yor physicaly fit enuf

@hantsman9313 age 16 i joined the parachute regiment and attended afc harrogate for a year.on completion i went to catterick for 14 weeks completing p company. at the age of 18 got sent to afghanistan on operational tour herrick 6. after finishing my 6 months tour i got chosen on reccomendation to attempt the royal marines all arms commando course, passing first time.i then completed the combat engineers course. after 3 years service got chosen on reccomendation for special forces selection
