Love it or hate it, the LFA is just another piece of history that will be talked about for years. A super rare car that will only gain value.

I'm not a big fan of asian cars but the LFA is exceptionally made, considering it's Toyota's first try. And I might add that Toyota made the right decision to slap it with a luxury badge unlike what Nissan did with their GT-R.

incorrect, until not too long ago Lexus was just a badge swap on the hood of the cars for american markets. It later began to move into other markets but all in all it was just marketing. Same as acura for honda and infinity for nissan. If you move into asian and european markets you can find lexus cars badged Toyota. All acuras in the states for example are badged honda in japan. Lexus is a marketing arm not a subsidiary, calling this a Toyota is simply callling it what it is.

The GTR costs 90k and it's got a 0-60 time of 3.2 and did Nurburgring in 7:24, it's one of the best cornering cars, and it's a V-6, considerably more manageable than the V-10 LFA that is only 10 seconds faster, although .4 seconds slower 0-60, and cost a ridiculous 375k and those tail lights are ridiculous, they're black plastic, prolly gonna fade haha! Oh yeah, for less than half the LFA's price you could get a hennessey gtr which does 0-60 in 2.6. hmmmmm

It's affordable, which is different than cheap, because the quality of the interior as well as the mechanics are superb. That's your first flaw. Secondly, it achieved that lap time with a special edition lexus, which is 450 thousand dollars. They upgraded the body kit, suspension was retuned, and the gearbox and engine were upgraded.

@ryandhanda The GTR wasn't even the black edition, let alone the hennesey, which is much less than half of the modified lexus. Lastly, the LFA took it's drive in august, on a sunny and dry day, whereas the GTR performed in semi wet conditions. It's understandable that you are biased towards lexus with all the good press they get in the states despite all these malfunctions lately they are still a good company overall. But lets be real, the GTR is a better car.

Lexus LFA kicked a** in the Evo UK magazine "Car of the year" ranking right up there with GT2 RS, 458 Italia and GT3 RS in the top 4 cars. They praised the LFA engine as stunning and only matched by Carrera GT.

The other cars in top ten LFA destroyed in tests were SLS AMG (5th), Nissan GTR R35.2 '12 (8th), LP570-4 (9th) and Lotus Evora (7th).

Why does every reviewer make a big deal of the price tag, the Zonda F is insanely expensive too and it isn't the fastest thing in the world either. Don't get me wrong though, I love both the Zonda and the LFA, great cars! How great it would be to win the lottery... :D

The LFA instead is new, and it's a Lexus, the first supercar they ever made. It's like "oh hey, there's a new Lexus that cost 300.000$" ...wut?

@pedalsnkeys1313 But that is the thing about the LFA: It cost 5 times more than a Nissan GTR, but it isn't 5 times faster, economical, reliable (rear seats and a boot) than a Nissan GTR (and if you're wondering why i compare it to a GTR; they're both are the same category; front engined 2-doors supercar. And it's not like only GTR can come in the way; there's also Ferrari 599, etc)...

One thing i like about the LFA though, is the way it revs and it's Gundam-like speedo panels ;)

The very great and famous Toyota No. 1 test driver for over 40 years died very recently in a head on collision with a BMW just outside the Nuburgring race track. He was developing a special version of this for the Nuburgring.
