@OscarSuelo If you are referring to the tadpole-shaped lute, it is called the ngoni. That is older than civilization. Instruments almost exactly like it were palyed in Sumeria and pharonic Egypt. The large African stringed instrument is called the kamel ngoni or donso ngoni (hunter's harp.) The big gourd shell is called a calabash. Ancient instruments all but I think they can still bring something new to music all over the world.
