  • This is pretty COOL! nice vid

  • @variablast Yes. Uploading.

  • Could be interesting for Amsterdam to !

  • Shuggoth anyone? It was a terrible, indescribable thing vaster than any subway train a shapeless congeries of protoplasmic bubbles, faintly self-luminous, and with myriads of temporary eyes forming and un-forming as pustules of greenish light all over the tunnel-filling front that bore down upon us, crushing the frantic penguins and slithering over the glistening floor that it and its kind had swept so evilly free of all litter.

    — H. P. Lovecraft, At The Mountains of Madness

  • i dun care if penguins are more frantic than the others but it doesnt matter, shudnt we treat everyone equally if we are to win this? rly man

  • mastela88-

My comment was meant tongue in cheek, if you read H.P. Lovecrarft's Beyond the Mountains of Madness one of the types of monsters are something very close to what she is talking about, a bodiless mass of cells called a Shuggoth.

  • yah i know was just making sure u knew also.

  • I think they should name it "Ice-9" in honor of Kurt Vonnegut, from his novel Cat's Cradle.

  • Holy shit! Fantazmagorical!

remember the synthetic blood replacement micelles of 20 years ago? well perfluorocarbons are now used in medicine.

  • Alive.... It's ALIVE!!!

  • @variablast i suspect that these can be used in reclamation projects to recover minerals much cheaper and more enviromentally friendly than by chemical means.... ( think sludge pools from metal processing from ore to finish)

  • This is nothing like "grey goo." they don't have DNA and they don't clone themselve which is what makes the "grey goo theori frightening :)

  • This was not the great end to the day that I was looking for. Here comes the 'grey goo'!

Can't we just let Venice sink? No good will come of this.

  • Fascinating!

  • Dr Racheal? Yes please!!!!

  • Where's my leviathan starship then?

  • I am waiting for my space ship too, it's been 40 years now and nada.

The one consolation I have is that the older one is the more likely it is that one will be sent into space, due to cosmic radiation not showing up as damage in the stats so much.

However NASA and ESA had better get a move on, It is starting to get a little annoying now.

The only other hope is that we get visited by aliens.. stuff 'welcome to Earth', a swift punch, a rush past the crew and I'm off.

    Andromeda, here I come.

  • Sonuds Dangerous. But that never stops any one.

  • fail?
