  • Who does Chris's hair???? Mus'be the Vampire Chronicles makeup gal.

  • I bet this was a great concert!

  • I was at this concert. It was amazing.

  • I love these two together. Aren't they coming to NYC soon?

  • Thanks for posting this!

  • wow!! smoth song

  • I've heard that these guys are making a CD!

  • I love this video and I don't know why the audience was so passive. When they broke out into the Smoothie Song I woulda been cheerin and yellin. It always gives me a smile when I hear that part.

  • Because if you yell and cheer you can't hear their genious. Give them a cheer afterwords. I can't stand when people yell in the middle of the song. If you really appreciate them then you will listen intently to every note they produce.

  • In Savannah, a bunch of people behind me started clapping! It was pretty awesome. I had a huge smile on my face.

  • Caught these guys at GMU in January 2007. They rocked the house... A little more virtuosity than the general public (including myself) could handle, but man these guys are good... Nothing like the Smoothie Song to bring the audience back to something with a hook... thanks for catching this clip...

  • That has nothing to do with it. I'm sure he has it rehaired. The hair and the strings are what really produce the tone, and I strongly doubt either of those were bargain-basement quality. You may not like his tone, but it's not because of the price of the bow.

  • Actually, the quality of the bow, and subsequently the price has a lot to do with tone. Also the instrument...you could have the best strings and high quality horse-hair on a shitty instrument and bow and it will still sound shitty. But the claim that Meyer uses a $10 bow is a stupid stupid untruth.

  • nope, its true, read it in an interview with him. i believe he has had it since he was a kid. i think the magazine was Bassics.....tried, couldn't find it

  • are you going off this little youtube video or a live performance buddy. i hope off the video.....or your an idiot

  • I think you mean Gary Karr?

  • Gary Karr can go play a cello. Edgar is the man.

  • Ignorance is bliss so they say, and from your comment I totally agree...

  • Gary Karr isn't half the player Edgar is.

  • if you cannot hear the difference you either have your head up your ass, cement in your ears or both LOL

  • mmmmyessshmmmmm quite hmmmmmmyesss hmmmm

  • Actually what you're probably reacting to is the fact that Meyer lowers his bridge significantly in order to have more agility in the left hand fingering (strings are closer to the fingerboard and take less time/pressure to place a note). As a result, the tone production suffers. It's a tradeoff to be able to play the virtuosic material he does.

  • Awesome !!! It's MUSIC !!!!

  • JESUS CHRIST! I love those guys.

  • Justin Timberlake and Chris Thile...separated at birth.

  • Amazing. Thanks to Hayes for showing me this!

  • There should be so much Edgar on YouTube! Finally, something to check out. Thanks

  • i was actually in knoxville that night and i freaking missed the show

  • whoeeeee. don't try to follow along with this incredible duo.The eyes cross, facial strokes(with drool)occur and some folks have been known to mess themselves.Just close yer eyes throw yer head back, and absorb the wonderful sounds tha come from a perfect duo. Thanks for the great clip.

  • wow, that was some good 3 minutes and 3 seconds :O

  • Having these two men in one room without it exploding is a noteworthy achievement.
