When i was a DJ at a Christian station, this was always the closing song I used for an annual special show for a local road race. At the very end I used to slowly bring up a recording of cheering...as if you were running into a stadium and finishing a race. It always brought tears to my eyes.
when i was 8, i got the twila paris "hits" tape, and i listened to it ALL the time. i still listen to this tape whenever i find it in my house. this was one of my favorite songs on the tape :)
it brings back memories for me. and now that i'm older, i understand how truly awesome these songs are and how true they are about my christian walk and the struggles i face.
One of my favorites as well.... I sometimes sing it when out of the long long runs.

I just LOVE this song. I performed it with in God's Rods Choreography with dowel rods. Such an incredible experience.

This was one of the first songs I encountered after the Lord saved me (1979). Contemporay Christian music is not the same these days!!!
