Nokia nailed it with this app! Absolutely indispensable! I don't care if there is another 1M apps on iTunes, this one is of of those I absolutely cannot live and leave without!

Poor Nokia competitors, they ask their handsets owners to buy countless licences and apps for all devices they change overtime. Others ask to be always connected.. big brother and big data bills. I go to China once, I have all the maps and navigation. I go to Chile, idem. For free! I go for a job interview, no stress!

Its free. You need to switch agps off. Then it works with the integrated gps.

3)Download and Install the maps

4) setup you phone at settings and you're good to go

I have a N5800 and want to update to this free map. Is it possible to do this via PC, i.e. download the free map to PC, then upload via cabel to my phone ?

I tried to use Ovi Maps updater but it gave me a new map but to get turn-by-turn directions it wanted to activate the 90 day trial.

@dreamcastII yes u can...u gotta download OVI Suite, you will be able to do it from there...u can download voice instructions too....hope dat helps

@pjamts 5800 have real gps so it's free of course but if you connect to internet to make it better (for finding more places or something) it probably costs when you search something ..but not much

I do not think there is anything wrong in this.

I think its good news for nokia gps enabled phone users. They can rejoice, bad news for stand alone GPS makers. But then google had already introduced free navigation only on their android phones.

Guess they will make it free for all phones using g maps now :D

@brizv google maps have been free for many years. I used it with my old nokia phone some years ago when i was lost. but it costs so much to load satellite pictures in google maps and i needed the pictures more than map because it can't tell me where i am so i had to found the place where i was ..so google maps kinda sucks
