  • takes me to a calm place in my heart =)

  • Sublime

  • I love metal....i love hip hop...and I sure as shit love Crosby Stills and the rest...great vid!!

  • one of those songs you wish went on forever

  • peerless

  • The funny thing is that on any given night these guys can still pull it off just like this.

  • Prachtig nummer. Echt een van mijn meest favoriete close harmony nummers van CS&N. Vijf jaar oud in1980 en samen zingen met mijn moeder.

  • Great, talented blokes! Love the harmonies. My favourite is 'Lay me Down' :-)

  • crosby himself stated that this song was partially about joni mitchell both nash and crosby dated her

  • I love crosby stills nash (&young)/buffalo springfield and the like <33

    I love close harmony <333

    I love this song <3333

  • "walking from wall to wall....to the harbor and the warm wind down by the bay, yesterday''

  • Great song! 5 stars and Love from Austria - Sharine

  • how many times can we listen to this in a row

    and then some more

  • No, Nash and Mitchell were together. This song is about a woman that Crosby dated that died in a car accident.

  • I don't argue with people. Read facts for yourself. This site will not allow you to paste address links. So Google:

    A Conversation with David Crosby

  • they both dated joni mitchell jesus

  • It's about three women.Crosby dated Mitchell not Nash.

David Crosby, who wrote this track, stated It's about three women that I loved. One of whom was Christine Hinton, the girl who got killed in 1969 ( car accident ) who was my girlfriend, and one of whom was Joni Mitchell and the other one is somebody that I can't tell.

All I know is that It is my favorite CSN song. It still sends chills every time I hear it. Days of Music Magic.

  • @Longshotsblues The three woman part of the story is true, but it's not true that only Crosby dated dated Joni. David and Joni only dated casually, but Nash and Joni were serious for a while. They even lived together. He wrote "Our House" about it. And "Just a Song" after they broke up.

I read a few years back that Joni said she still had the vase he mentioned in the song.

I wonder who the third mystery woman is.

  • REAL MUSIC!! Just beautiful

  • REAL MUSIC!! Just beautiful

  • incredible song. incredible talent.

    *sigh*

    crosby particularly.

  • Wow, that is just so beautiful, these guys were magic.

  • Whatever happened to that yearning for calm and harmony? Do you not even realise how petty these criticisms are? Intelligence is marked out by what is not said.

  • Truly a gift, Thank you, no machines or flashing displays, just 2 artists, doing what they do.....

  • Beautiful. Thanks so much for posting it.

  • I love Gunnevere. But back when David Crosby was with The Byrds he did a song Everybody's been burned. This song is very close too Gunnevere. See if you can fined it on You Tube it is great..................gp473

  • i love that song! it's one from his pre-Byrds days that they did on YTY...

beautiful song... i'd love to hear him sing that one on his own ...

  • Exquisite!!!

  • Beautiful and breathtaking. Always been a favorite.

  • I was named after this song!

    It's the best

    Thanks for posting!

  • Can you beat any of them? Crosby? Stills? Nash? OR Young? Nope. Cuz they don't make 'em like this anymore.

  • Prickle tears in my eyes, growin up listenin to CSN in my parents collection, rememberin the times they were together & happy x

  • That was a great rendition of one of Crosby's finest compositions. Any idea what year this performance was taped?

  • i have always loved this song, thank you for putting it on...

  • what a great song!!!!... is just amazing

  • Magic! What a well-adjusted team. Just floating - in perfect harmony.

  • I think I like this version better than the one on the album. You can see they were really into it, so much feeling.

  • my god, they're brilliant.... that's why I have to sing their music... it's magic

  • Crosby the man behind the "wooden" sound excellent song but something is missing, maybe it is Stills and maybe check the tuning.

  • what's missing in comparison to the album version is the electric guitar. stills doesn't sing on the album version either.

  • Haunting and brilliant! Thanks for posting this, I was bummed out when the other was axed!

  • Oh hell, yeah!! Oh my God!! What a fiercely brilliant song and performance. "... Guninnevere drew pentagrams... late at night...". Thank you for the post!!
