Yeah that was pretty cool, but I used to be stationed at a base with F-15's and worked swing shift and when they flew at night we would go out on the runway and they would pass right over in full burner and in the dark that was awesome. Also watching them do a max climb till they were out of sight, way cool.

Those turns over the crowd at that altitude are definitely illegal. He should have joined the Navy if he wants to flat-hat like that.
Yah F-15s are very loud, but I think the F-22 is the loudest fighter ever. The F-14D was pretty loud also. And this is most definately an Eagle in the video.

@markb16a No, this looks to be a small civilian airfield. NAS Jacksonville has a bigger ramp area and more runways then what is shown in this video. plus you would see alot more military jets on the ground especially f-18 Hornets.

I was told that I couldn't double dip for college and flight training, so I am just using it for my college classes. My student loans have helped with my flight training though. @JPStuehrenberg I own a Glasair and a Velocity. Not sure if you're familiar with homebuilts or not. Once you fly a kitplane though you'll never go back to production again.
JP the F-18 isn't rated at 7 Gs. It has a 7.5 G limiter that the pilot CAN overide. I have personally seen HUD footage of a Hornet Pilot pulling 8.9 Gs. You're not in the military, you're not around military aviation so you "LEARN YOUR FACTS."

@MrThatsYe You have never really seen a Navy pilot perform then if you think that The Navy isnt that bad ass. Navy would kick the Air Force's ass any day of the week. Just look at the T-birds and the Angels, the T-birds wear g-suits the Angels don't, the Angels fly as close as 16-18 inches from each other, the T-birds are more like 3 feet from each other in formation. So don't tell me that that Navy isn't bad ass.
@JPStuehrenberg actually thunderbirds used to fly 12 inches apart, they were so close one time that they bumped so now they have a restriction. blue angels only pull 6-7Gs while tbirds pull 9Gs, thats why they have the G suit. also tbirds fly 50-100 mph faster. Ive seen them both three times and have talked to many navy guys and they said tbirds were more entertaining and put on a better show.
@MrThatsYe The reason the Blues do not wear g-suits is because of where they rest their arms during the flight which ison their thighs, They pull just as many g's as the t-birds do. They both fly the same speeds due to restrictions from the FAA, but I can guarentee that the Blues fly faster during their High Speed pass. I think the blues always put on a better show then the T-birds but that is just my opnion, and I have talked to Air Force guys who have said the same thing.

@MrThatsYe Hey I took a look at the vidoe you have posted of the T-birds vs blues, you have at least one wrong fact in there that I could see, the blue angel sneak pass does not come from in front of the crowd and they don't go that low for it, the Blue Angel sneak pass comes from behind the crowd at 700mph and they are at least 200 feet about the crowd.
@MrThatsYe I know how long the F-18 is and I wasn't saying that the pass you called the sneak pass in your posted video wasn't at 50 feet because that was, They do that for their solo high speed pass when over water, but their sneak pass is always done from behind the crowd, not from the front and definatly not in a manner that would allow someone to film the whole approach, that defeats the purpose of a sneak pass. And the Blue Angles sneak pass is done from 150 to 200 feet over the crowd.

@mike86183 That would be a bird that was flying lower than the F-15. I watched the video about 6 times just to be sure. Don't know what kind of bird it was but I am positive that it was a bird.

My bad. I see now it was this MRThatsYe who said it and not you. It's hard to tell who's makig the comment and who's replying to who. I did 8 yrs ATC in the Marines as well.

@JPStuehrenberg Yeah I'm an IP in the aircraft. Are you using GI Bill for flight training? Post 9-11 covers everything now. I'll probably stay with helos when I get out but I still fly fixed-wing in my spare time.

@Glashawk1 Thats cool, I am not using the GI Bill for my flying but I am using it for my college classes. I was told that I couldn't double dip for college and flight training, so I am just using it for my college classes. My student loans have helped with my flight training though. What fixed wing do you fly in your spare time?

@JPStuehrenberg I own a Glasair and a Velocity. Not sure if you're familiar with homebuilts or not. Once you fly a kitplane though you'll never go back to production again.

JP the F-18 isn't rated at 7 Gs. It has a 7.5 G limiter that the pilot CAN overide. I have personally seen HUD footage of a Hornet Pilot pulling 8.9 Gs. You're not in the military, you're not around military aviation so you "LEARN YOUR FACTS."

@Glashawk If you would read the posts you would see that I have been pretty much saying the same thing, MrThatsYe is the one saying that the Hornet can only pull 7Gs. By the way I WAS in the U.S. Navy for about 9 years and I worked as an air traffic controller, So I am pretty sure that I know what I am talking about when it comes to the military.

@Glashawk look, thats pretty much what I have been saing this whole time, if you would read the posts you would see that it is MrThatsYe that has been saying the Hornet can only pull 7Gs, and I was in the US Navy for almost 9 years as an Air Traffic Controller so I am pretty sure I know what I am talking about when it comes to the Military.

@concilliero300 Your post is ignorant. Reliability had nothing to do with what the navy chose to fly, as the planes were developed under different programs to fit different needs. F-14s are retired by the US Navy. The US Navy current uses F-18 legacy and super hornets. Also, no one in America really cares about any of those other air-forces you listed.

Responses like his make it sound like we aren't supposed to be proud of our own armed services or something, which is the part I'll never understand about these kinds of people.

@MrThatsYe You have never really seen a Navy pilot perform then if you think that The Navy isnt that bad ass. Navy would kick the Air Force's ass any day of the week. Just look at the T-birds and the Angels, the T-birds wear g-suits the Angels don't, the Angels fly as close as 16-18 inches from each other, the T-birds are more like 3 feet from each other in formation. So don't tell me that that Navy isn't bad ass.

@JPStuehrenberg actually thunderbirds used to fly 12 inches apart, they were so close one time that they bumped so now they have a restriction. blue angels only pull 6-7Gs while tbirds pull 9Gs, thats why they have the G suit. also tbirds fly 50-100 mph faster. Ive seen them both three times and have talked to many navy guys and they said tbirds were more entertaining and put on a better show.

@MrThatsYe The reason the Blues do not wear g-suits is because of where they rest their arms during the flight which ison their thighs, They pull just as many g's as the t-birds do. They both fly the same speeds due to restrictions from the FAA, but I can guarentee that the Blues fly faster during their High Speed pass. I think the blues always put on a better show then the T-birds but that is just my opnion, and I have talked to Air Force guys who have said the same thing.

@JPStuehrenberg learn your fucking facts! the blue angels DO NOT pull nearly as much as the tbirds. the f-18 AT MAX can only pull 7G's, the F-16 is a 9G+ rated aircraft. and no its proven that during maneuvers such as the diamond roll the tbirds fly faster, change formation faster, and roll faster, the blues are gracefull and the tbirds are just fun and fast. when i saw the blues this year they were honestly boring. The f-16 demo gave me more of a kick

@MrThatsYe Look i know my facts, and I have talked to actual pilots of the F-18, I was an air traffic controller in the Navy. The books may say that the Hornet is limited to 7gs but From what the pilots have told me they are capable of pulling 9, can't get any better information than straight from the horses mouth.

@MrThatsYe Just because it may only be rated to 7g doesnt mean that the pilots always keep it there, there is such a thing called pushing the envelope and sometimes pilots can make a plane do things that it wasnt meant to do. That includes hitting 9g. I believe the pilots when they told me they have hit 9g it might not have been for long but they have done it. And you dont need to yell, geez try to be a little civilized why dont you.

@MrThatsYe Hey I took a look at the vidoe you have posted of the T-birds vs blues, you have at least one wrong fact in there that I could see, the blue angel sneak pass does not come from in front of the crowd and they don't go that low for it, the Blue Angel sneak pass comes from behind the crowd at 700mph and they are at least 200 feet about the crowd.

@MrThatsYe I know how long the F-18 is and I wasn't saying that the pass you called the sneak pass in your posted video wasn't at 50 feet because that was, They do that for their solo high speed pass when over water, but their sneak pass is always done from behind the crowd, not from the front and definatly not in a manner that would allow someone to film the whole approach, that defeats the purpose of a sneak pass. And the Blue Angles sneak pass is done from 150 to 200 feet over the crowd.
