  • Question ! I'm in doubt about how to approach this.

    Do i at first train hard , but low reps , like 2 sets max than rest 2 days( at least rest the muscles mainly used) to build up strength . And than when i am strong enough to do all exercises i start to increase my reps.??

    The thing i don't get is.. if i start pulling up all day long from now on ( 10+ sets etc), i think i will only build a great endurance , but won't gain in strength.

    All advise , comments are welcome !

  • Germain i have a question for you. Is your body sculpted purely from calisthenics or did you get your mass from weight training? Because i prefer working out with calisthenics. Pull ups, dips etc. But i'd like to be able to achieve the kind of mass you have. So should i supplement my calisthenics with weight training or is that unnecessary?

Weight gain is caused by over consuming kilojoules (or calories) whether they are from carb, protein or fat. If the body receives insufficient carbs, it breaks down muscle to produce glucose. It can be reversed by eating low sources of carbs including whole grains and fruit, rather than dense forms such as junkfood.

  • @thefanaticx I am truly happy for you bro! I am glad you are one of the few that can wake up in the morning, look themselves in the mirror and say "I am perfect, I wont fall for no propaganda". Most people are not like that, I like to work out hard, I like to diet and eat healthy, I also like to experiment with incorporating other things into my workouts to challenge myself. As I am sure a lot of people do.

  • Not saying P90X will get you ripped in 90 days. I have done various Hybrid workouts with P90X for the passed year and I have seen great results. In fact ill never stop pushing my limits working out. people are different High protein diet worked awesome for me and now after 7 months I am adjusting my diet again.

    But come on, by saying its all hype and propaganda, foreign activity, and being in control. I just gotta LOL!

    Sound like closed minded thinking to me. Very hard to succeed like that.

I've always advocated doing trial n' error to find out what works for you then stick to it.. I guarantee that P90X won't work for all, considering factors like bodytype, bodystructure, weak bodyparts, diet budget, availability to workout, etc.. who has the more open mind now huh? so sad if you don't advocate being in control of your life..
