@LouiseTopp It is very different. I have seen Cyberlink Power Director and I honestly think that both are nice. You can just do a lot more silly effects and transitions in Cyberlink. From experience I think Pinnacle is a bit better.

@ActIonzXD What kind of file is saved with your PVR? I am sure that Pinnacle will be able to edit it but without knowing the extension I have no idea. You can always download the 30 day free trial and test it out.

@bootspwns Are you trying to get music off of a CD? If so, then just use your computer to rip the file into a MP3 and then simply drag it to the audio line in the timeline.

@MrEnglandForever1 Pinnacle Studio 15 & AVID Studio are now available. Depending on what u r editing either one of these programs would be great for HD footage. AVID Studio is a step up from Pinnacle Studio 15...it has more professional features like unlimitted timelines. If u are just doing basic editing then the Pinnacle Studio 15 HD is good for you. Remember that is the basic version...if you require more effects and content look at the Ultimate or Ultimate Collection.

Pinnacle Studios has the absolute worst company policies of any company I have ever purchased software from. I have been with Pinnacle since purchasing Pinnacle Studio Ultimate 11 several years ago before they began to nickel and dime their customers to death. I am now up to Pinnacle Studio 14 Ultimate. AVID is a terrible company and they have lost a good customer. I will never buy their software again. TAKE MY ADVICE DON’T BUY PINNACLE! SONY VEGAS or AFTER EFFECTS ARE 1000 TIMES BETTER!

@milesgiordani All Video when tranfered to your hard drive is saved in a folder on your computer. If you want to remove that video, simply go to the folder and then select delete of that file. The video will be removed from your hard drive, make sure that this is what you want to do because you will lose your video forever, unless you have it backed up. Make sure that Studio is closed down before deleting any clips.

@easyrider30666 The Pinnacle Studio Ultimate Collection comes with an amazng green screen and 4 great Plug-ins from Red Giant Software. Knoll Light Factory, 3D Stroke, Particular and Shine are the names of the plug-ins. They will let you create 3D animated lines, particles, explosions, lens flares, light rays...etc...for your video. The cost of buying those 4 by itself would be really exensive.

@ZOMGizmo Depending on what you want to create. The Pinnacle Montage Themes will let you create multiple pictures and pictures over the top of your video. Experiment with the Multi Layer Mix in Montage to create many moving picture in pictures.
